I am never going back first the cook picking up food with his hands no gloves at all manger was very nasty and the servicer was nasty. I got up to go to the restroom i was in there for one minute the manger was standing at the door with my ticket in here hands she standing in my way the server was cleaning my table then ask if I was done I said it not dose not you started cleaning to table off where is my check . The manger has it i went pay the Clark ask me where was my ticket I said the manger has it . She was very nasty and the restroom was nasty I saw there was rats and roaches in there very nasty. I would avoid going back . I tried to get corporate number from the manager the manager would not respond. I don't think she said she wanted me to walk out. So she can call Richmond County.. I informed her that I've been in-law enforcement 24 years, but I told her to call rich and county. Please call because I have not broken any law. I was only going to the bathroom for a minute and you waiting at the door like I'm a dog.
To the owners of lizard thicket, I have been coming there for years.I have never been treated like that. And I hate coming there now.I don't never want to come to your establishment. And i'm gonna call dec every chance I get and i'm gonna coach to the news every chance I get because this is wrong.Thank you

Went to the White Knoll location. I ordered a chicken sandwich. Got home opened my sandwich and they pulled the meat off a already cooked bone in chicken breast and put it between a bun. Couldn't tell you how it taste. I threw it in the trash. It looked disgusting seriously. Never ever again.

I love Lizards Thicket but it’s tough to give a 5-star rating here. The food is always phenomenal but the service not so much. I can’t fault them at all because of how crowded it normally is but some of the wait times I’ve had for either my order or my food is the reason why I can’t rate this higher.

This review is specifically for the newer Redbank location. We had a late night concert Monday night at the White Knoll High School PAC center and decided afterwards to go to this location. We weren't aware that they closed at 9pm until after we were leaving. Most of our party arrived at 8:15pm but we had some stragglers that arrived at 8:40pm. The entire staff was soooooooo incredible and accommodating, everyone helping each other get drinks, refills, bread and food out soooooooo quickly. Not one time did we ever feel "rushed" or "hovered" over to "hurry up." Instead they just let us enjoy our dining experience! The food was fantastic, even at the end of the shift, it was still all so fresh and delicious! I think we wrapped up our bills at 9:30pm. We all thanked the servers and all the management staff for allowing us to stay and enjoy our meal and we humbly apologized to them honestly not knowing the time they closed. The manager reassured us it was no problem at all and asked us if we enjoyed everything, food, service and all. We enthusiastically replied YES! I just wanted to specifically shout out to the store and staff how wonderful our dining experience was. I'm sorry for posting a few days afterwards, but please know your team was phenomenal and it didn't go unnoticed. Ty so very much again!

I don't get the hype because I've had way better breakfast. I'm from Virginia so maybe its a southern thing. The eggs I got were powdered, the hashbrowns were average and the corned beef hash should have been cooked much longer. Not impressed.

Dallas the server was not very happy or friendly. Really made the visit very unpleasant. Collard greens were sweet. Not sure if it’s a South Carolina thing but I unfortunately did not enjoy them.
Catfish was not fully cooked and it was cold. Have you ever heard of soft fried catfish?

Blinds look like they ain’t never been cleaned like ever. Spider webs, dirt and old sauce on the window.

Very disappointing.

Great home cooking kind of place. Very friendly service and nice food. I had the soup and it was ok, but my friend had the flounder and that was amazing!!! I normally smother my fish with tartar sauce but this didn't really need any. I would definitely come back fir that next time I'm here.

I first visited this restaurant over a decade ago and the food is excellent today. As I visit Columbia once again, I make it a point to dine at Lizard Thicket.
