I eat their weekly. Grew up eating Lizards Thicket. Started out at the one that used to be by the airport. I’ve eaten at all of them. They are all good. Love the breakfast. Love the specials. Love the staff. Would recommend anybody that has had a bad Experience. Don’t let that one time experience stop you from enjoying a lot more of good experiences there. Highly recommend them.!!!!👍

They don’t cater to dietary restrictions for all customers. Disappointing…

Our waitress was very hum-drum. She spilled tea on the table and just left it. She never checked on us after delivering the food. The food was disappointing, but that's what I get for ordering shrimp at Lizard's Thicket. Not in a hurry to go back.

There is almost a fight in the inside line disagreement on giving water to a customer who was waiting

Everything about this restaurant was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, our food came out quickly and even though she had a lot in her area our waitress kept our glasses full.
The food was excellent and I ate far too much for one meal. Price was good for the portions.
If I am ever back in this area I will most likely eat here again.

Vegetarian options: The menu said they have options and to ask the waitress as some of the veggies were seasoned with pork but they could get you some without that upon request.

The chicken and waffles was AWESOME! Hand breaded, perfectly cooked fried chicken, WOW. We also had the baked chicken salad which was good. We had the hamburger steak with onions and mushrooms, fries were crinkle cut, all was great. Lastly ordered the baked chicken thigh with alabam slaw and macaroni and cheese, everything was super great and homemade. Now we understand why there was so many take out orders going out while we were there.

The manager acted very strange when I entered with my service dog. After, it took 27 mins for someone to come serve my table while they whispered about my service dog. I came daily for a week cause I was in the hotel across the street due to my house burning down, and every time it was just a strange feeling as they stared at me. The wait staff was great after the first day. After a few days my service dog went to training and they warmed up a little more.

Waitress was not friendly. Dirty dishes & flies. That should’ve been the first sign to leave. Instead, I remained hopeful. I figure they just finished a dinner rush. I was wrong. The food was horrible. They served us soggy fried chicken & okra. When asked about it, the cashier lied & assured the food was prepared fresh. It definitely wasn’t fresh. Unless you want food borne illness, I would suggest a different location. Very disappointing. This location has declined over the years. I will not be returning.

We usually stop at Lizards Thicket every time we pass by going to and from Myrtle Beach. Always a great experience. Excellent food and great selection of good ole southern cooking.
