The First shift workers deserve a pay increase for their hospitality and outstanding customer service, however.... The way I watched that second shift/late night manager treat someone tonight was unacceptable and disappointing! McDonald's should be ashamed they hired that tired wig wearing woman manager that acted out like that. I'm Never going back again! 0 stars! I recommend the McDonald's on Garners ferry or forest drive. ANY McDonald's but there (after sunset)

The staff is very hostile I guess due to the surrounding community. The place is almost always filthy, dirty tables, drink machines area, bathroom, and the floors. The employees talk to you very rudely, the energy is as if the employees don’t like their jobs, they speak with such hostility to certain customers, and get very aggressive when you let them know that THEY messed up your order( which is almost always messed up). The McDonalds on Elmwood is definitely not a place to visit if you have other options!!!

This McDonald’s is the worst-run location I’ve ever encountered. On multiple occasions, they have refused to serve customers, failed to honor their posted hours, and falsely claimed they could only take Uber Eats or DoorDash orders—turning away in-person guests. At least twenty times, I have been told they cannot accept payments or fulfill orders, making it clear this is a recurring issue, not just a one-time problem.

Beyond the poor service, this location feels unsafe. Homeless individuals and suspicious people frequently approach cars in the drive-thru, making the experience uncomfortable and even dangerous. Management does nothing to address it.

McDonald’s is supposed to be reliable, but this franchise is a disgrace to the brand and the community. Avoid this location at all costs. Until corporate steps in and fixes these serious issues, it’s not worth your time or money.

The owners should be held liable for such poor business practices.

Came to the store for a DoorDash order. We sat outside for 20 minutes while the staff did not answer the drive-through. While they sat around talking and not doing any real work. Can’t believe that with all the DEI talk that McDonald’s is letting their workers sit around and do nothing. Not to mention that this messed up people pay! If they don’t want to work FIRE THEM!! They were rude locked the window NOT acknowledging us saying we have DoorDash orders. We were not the only one waiting. Also drive thru was extremely packed. Bad business!! I have video for anybody who needs it.
We left after 25 mins with no food and no payment for trip.

I ordered a happy meal….. didn’t get that!!!! Told to go back around through the drive through!! WYH!!!!!????? Wasn’t my fault!

I arrived at this McDonald's a little before 2 PM to go into the dining room.Upon reaching the front door it was locked? So I walked around to the other side of the Building and that door was locked too. There were no signs Posted explaining why the dinning room was closed.
So I went through the drive to and I Requested A Vanilla Ice Cream Cone and A Fish Sandwich They They Replied. We have no ice cream.
I said okay. Then I'll just have to fish sandwich. I paid $5.14 for the fish sandwich. When I went to the window there was no conversation. Or greeting or anything from the McDonald's employee. No, thank you. No, nothing they gave me my fish sandwich and a bag with no napkins. And when I opened it up, it was extremely hot as if he had just come out of the microwthere was a 1/2, a piece of cheese on there. And enough tartar sauce for about 2 sandwiches. This was ultimately the worst service.I have received at a fast food establishment lately.

Not-fast food from a slow drive-through

This might be the slowest drive through in Columbia. I’ve tried at 7:00 am and sat for over 10 minutes. I’ve been at 3 pm and sat for over 10 minutes. I wish refunds in the app were easier, but I’d have to go back to the same McDonalds to make it happen so yeah.

Food is fine. But 3/5 times it will take 15-20m to get.

I mean, it’s McDonald's so the bar is already on the floor. I came to buy breakfast around 4:45 AM. I sat in the drive thru and considered that this location might not be open at that time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The sole employee was napping in the dining room and couldn’t be woken up (picture attached). Sad to see local businesses get dragged for small mistakes when large chains get continual support even if they’re terrible. I will make a concerted effort to avoid this location.

Although McDonald's will give you a heart attack it's still a reasonable place to eat. If anything McDonald's need to take note and hire people who give af about their job nation wide.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been too wait in line at least an hour before you even get to order

The young lady at the 2nd window where you pick up your food wasn't pleasant. Had a frown on her face through the entire process of handling me my order. Open the window and past me my food and close the window back. I said thank you, and she said nothing. The food was hot. Which I appreciated.

I've been waiting for 30 minutes in the drive through, with nobody even speaking through the speaker. I can clearly see employees inside standing around and talking, while ignoring the long line nearly wrapped around the building
