It's a solid place. Food is good, brisket and ribs were our favorite.

The barbecue was really good. A late selection a variations on barbecue and a good lineup of Margaritas.

Oh wow, this place was amazing from start to finish! The Peach Bourbon iced tea was the best I've had and it just went perfectly with the outstanding brisket burnt ends -- they melted in my mouth! This was some excellent BBQ here, folks. Do not miss it!! The excellent collards, house pickles and hushpuppies rounded out the meal. Goodness, gracious, I'm still thinking about how good it was!

Poor customer service We were placed in front of the entrance and the request for moving was not handled appropriately, tables and booths were empty for 30 minutes in other areas with 1 person being seated at the table and booths Our associate had to move every time someone came in the door The food was as expected very good and we visit very often But we will not be returning to this location, they have to much business and do not understand the importance of the customer service

We'll probably visit again as we were there about an hour before closing. We were visiting from out of town, and we got to Columbia around 7 pm. I decided to look up places that would close late, 10 pm was close enough. The restaurant was not packed which was great but we knew going this late (850 pm-ish when we got to the restaurant) might have some understanding of the food we will be served. We were greeted by the host who seated us immediately. The waitress was friendly and did not rush us into ordering (I did not catch her name). The atmosphere was also great, open, and relaxing. There were still several people eating or just chilling. We ordered several appetizers, bacon-wrapped jalapeño, and Nachos Libre. We also ordered the 'Pig Out' ($45) pick 4 proteins; the three choices we picked were Carolina chopped pork, beef brisket, and 1/2 rack pork ribs, and substituted the 4th choice for another 1/2 rack for an additional $11. Our sides were all rice, which also included hush puppies and house pickles.

We understand that we were there an hour (we were there at around 850pm-ish) before closing. So the rating is based on the food served at that time. •Customer service was absolutely, 5/5.
•Nacho Libre, 3/5
•Bacon-wrapped jalapeño, 4/5
•Hush Puppies, 3/5; can it be a little bigger?
•House pickles, 5/5
•Carolina Chopped pork, 2/5; it wasn't dry but didn't care too much for it.
•Beef brisket, 4/5;
•1/2 rack pork ribs, 3.5/5; some charred ends
• Rice, 2/5; hard rice was mixed in it. We ordered rice because rice is life. Ha.
• the 3 sauces, 3/5; vinegar and bbq was good.
•drinks (driving reasons), tea, and Pepsi, 5/5 (not watered down). There is a bar and bar seating.

Overall rating, 4/5. We'll try again way, way before closing time.

We paid with a debit card and tipped in cash. Two ? bathrooms are available and it was kept clean. Plenty of parking is available and within walking distance of shops nearby. There is also an outside seating. I believe call for a pickup/take-out option is available. Check with them.

We spent about ~$90 total (this includes the tip) for our dinner.

Support your local restaurant!

Aloha~

We came in to the Columbia restaurant while visiting from Canada. The service from the waiter James was southern hospitality at its best. The food that was served was absolutely delicious and we had brisket left over as the servings were large. The manager was also very welcoming and we will be sure to be back if ever in the area. Go Gamecocks!

The food tastes great, but it’s almost as though we are still in world war 2 with the way they ration out these tiny portions. 15 dollars gets you some really good pulled pork and two sides that were so small they could have been served in a can of ZYN.
