4 of us had a late lunch today at Miyo's on Forest drive. 3 of us have been several times. The service was poor at best. It took about 15 minutes to even get drinks ordered.
Then the food - well it was a total disappointment. The spring rolls we DARK brown, dry & flavorless. The lettuce chicken wrap was dry, tasted burned and the sauce was simple soy sauce with 4 pieces of green onion floating. The skewered beef appeared more like jerky - tough as shoe leather. The tofu was flavorless and under cooked. And there were the unidentified fried patties - well what were they???
We used to eat here frequently, but today was the last time. If you remember good food here, don't go back!

The food tastes bland and my fried calamari had a pungent stench that filled up my car and house so bad that I could not eat it. Call to check their hours because they closed early the next day when I tried to get my refund.

Truly, the McDonaldโs of sushi.
I was told it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I arrived at seven minutes and my fried wontons were cold and my fried shrimp were cold. The sushi rolls do not belong in the same league with the likes of CO.
Not pictured, but the ginger and wasabi looked like they were pre-placed in the to go packaging, allowing the wasabi to be dried and cracked.
Lastly, I asked the man packaging my food if they was soy sauce in the bag, he assured me there was, but there was not.

Atmosphere is a matter of preference and for me I prefer to have an Asian ๐ feel instead of a Belgian ๐ช feel, minus the pretty modern red oriental ๐ light ๐ก covers ๐ฎโฆfood ๐ฑ is great and service too, although on this day there was only one waitress and a bartender (who graciously helped out too), and we had a party of eight Bible ๐ study students. The truth, all their restaurants have great food ๐ฅก choices to choose from and not be disappointed in the slightest but we prefer M Cafe in the Vista or downtown Columbia but chose this one on Forest Drive out of convenience and closeness to Fort Jackson, where we study, serve and worship. This was not our first time here and each time itโs been pleasant to enjoy lunch or dinner. I always get the Carolina Fried Rice ๐ and at least three others got that, a couple got the Deluxe Fried ๐ someone got the Shanghai Style Noodles ๐ and one got the Ginger ๐ซ & Plum ๐ซ Wine ๐ท Marinated Ribeye ๐ฅฉ and the Hot and Sour Soup ๐ฒ we had various drinks from plain water, lemonade, sweet tea, to sparkling water, and we ordered 11 Vegetarian Spring Roll ๐ซ Thank You Miyo ๐๐คฉ๐๐ซก๐บ๐ธ#REBTD๐

Terrible experience, server was rude and food was not impressive. There is strong smell of sewer gas in the bathroom and there's black mold growing in the ceiling throughout the restaurant not impressed... go to invista if you want good food in a decent environment
