The restaurant itself is great the food is marginal at best I have never felt so ignored in a restaurant. The Korean pancakes are great I just expect more from a restaurant that charges as much as they do

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Food and wait staff was really good. Pork gave me food poisoning and oysters gave me vibrio. (Rare disease from not preparing them probably) was rushed to the hospital in Charleston, SC last night. Threw up at least 50 times. Will be sick with vibrio for 5 days. Food poisoning for up to two weeks! DO NOT EAT

MOA Korean BBQ & Bar, located at 1333 Main St, Suite 170, Columbia, SC 29201, offers a beautiful dining experience with a fantastic atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant. Reservations are required, so be sure to book online ahead of time.
Our meal at MOA started with an appetizer of Mandoo—five pieces of deep-fried Korean vegetable dumplings that were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we indulged in the #1 Classic Combo, priced at $90, which is designed to feed 1-2 people. This combo is a comprehensive taste of Korean BBQ, featuring a variety of meats including Prime Ribeye Steak, Prime Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, and Pork Belly, along with 5 cold sides, rice, and a hot side dish.
We chose the Prime Ribeye Steak, Prime Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, and Pork Belly for our meats. The standout hot side was the corn cheese, which I highly recommend; it’s a unique dish that perfectly complements the meal.
One of the highlights of dining at MOA is that the staff cooks all your meats right at your table, providing the experience of having your own personal chef. Having a chef lets you relax and focus on your conversation rather than worrying about cooking.
The service was exceptional, and the friendly and attentive staff made our experience even more enjoyable. Whether planning a date night or looking for a wonderful dining experience on Main Street, MOA Korean BBQ & Bar is the perfect choice.
MOA has become our new favorite spot on Main Street, and we can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for great food and a vibrant atmosphere. As a bonus, they offer a military discount, which is a thoughtful touch that adds value to the dining experience.

This was a great place to enjoy dinner with one of my best friends! Really enjoyed the experience, and our server, Alex, was beyond amazing. She clearly was very knowledgeable of the restaurant's offerings and gave us great feedback and guidance to make sure we had the best experience. We also loved her personality and genuine conversation with us. We could not have asked for a better server!

My favorite cocktail of the night was the "Drops of Jupiter" -- it was truly out of this world. We had the K BBQ combo #2 premium, and did not regret it. The meat was tender and flavorful and the sides were fresh and a great compliment to the entrees. The pacing of the meal was perfect; we had plenty of time to enjoy each entree and enjoy each others' (and Alex's!) company before the next entree started cooking. Our favorite by far was the short ribs. They were decadent, with a perfect texture that just melts in your mouth.

We will definitely be visiting again soon -- and making sure to request Alex as our server. If you're looking for a novel dinner experience, I highly recommend trying one of the cooked-at-your-table K BBQ Combos; and spring for the premium if you can!

Alex was our server, and she was phenomenal! She has a bright personality with great knowledge about the menu and is a wonderful table side chef as well! She made our entire dining experience effortless and carefree. The food was amazing with great quality ingredients and care in preparation and presentation. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Columbia. When you go in, ask if Alex is serving! We will definitely be looking for her next time!

The drinks were phenomenal. Between the two of us we sampled the drops of Jupiter, the cyclist, so good at getting in trouble, and the pastels. All the drinks were well balanced, had distinct flavor personalities, and worked wonderfully with the food.

We got one of the Korean barbeque spreads, and we regret nothing. All of the sides were amazing, and short rib was to die for, and the aged steak was buttery perfection. We topped the meal with Vietnamese coffees, and it struck a perfect balance of flavors to end the meal.

Moa really is a great restaurant for downtown, and the relaxed, slow paced dining experience was truly a treat. Despite the many steps of the meal, nothing felt rushed and it was a relaxed, elegant experience from beggining to end.

Thanks Alex, and thanks to the wonderful team that helped craft our amazing meal! We will be back!

We went here based on the online reviews, and we were not disappointed. My son just graduated from BCT, so we wanted a nice dinner for him before he shipped out for AIT. The food and service were fantastic. Also, we were able to get an early seating at 4:30, which let us enjoy a nice, leisurely dinner, before taking him back to Fort Jackson by 6:30.

I'll stick with 929.
Bibimbap was beautifully decorated but the only flavor was salt. The tofu was steamed, soggy and plain.

Was traveling to NC and decided to make a pit stop here. The main thing we noticed as we dined was the quality of the food. The sides tasted so freshly made! The housemade soy sauce and ssamjang paired perfectly with the meats. The meats were prepared and handled properly. And to top it off, our server made the experience well worth it! She cooked the meats well to our liking and recommended meat and sauce combos to make eating it more pleasurable.

Love this place! Nothing else like it in town. Good quality meats, interesting, fresh sides, cool & hip atmosphere. Love how mgmt keeps an eye on the whole place & checks on tables while servers are moving around, doing their thing. The marinated short rib is melt-in-your-mouth tender!
