service is HORRIBLE. last night was our 3rd and final time coming here (we always give restaurants 3 chances before assuming they suck).
last night we went out to dinner to see my in laws after a death in the family, and i had to go find someone (bartender was the only person out) bc our drink order was not taken after sitting there for TWENTY MINUTES. i order a dr pepper and my bf asked for the drink menu, and ordered our food at the same time. she comes back with 4 waters and immediately leaves, and we didn’t see anyone again until the food came out. the girl who should have served us was yelling with her manager and pointing at us (we speak spanish lol, awkward!) it didn’t stop until i made eye contact with her for 5 seconds, and then she ran in the back and continued from there. we also felt sick af this morning after eating there last night.
last time we went, we stood in front of the host stand for almost 3 minutes, while the host was right in front of us, so deep into her phone she didn’t notice us until the manager saw, and again started yelling with her in front of us. every time we come here it’s a cluster f*** and we’re over it. wish they didn’t tear down the san jose on forest bc now we’re stuck with this place.

Me and my guy friend just walked out! They walked past us several times and didn't try to take our orders. The employees kept looking at us, but never came to take our orders. We left the dip, our drinks, and walked out. Not sure if it was discrimination or not, being that everyone else's skin color was a color other than ours. Will never go here again!!!!. Felt very much not welcomed.

The place is spacious and very beautiful and decorated! Colorful and colorful! I think the service is not bad but it is not very warm either! The girls who attended us only did their job but they were not more friendly or attentive, they only focused on what we asked of them!The food itself is not bad but the only thing delicious about my dish were the tacos. The dish was country tacos with a bed of rice and some of the house potatoes, but some parts of the rice were hard and salty for my taste!! The potatoes were raw and only soaked in oil but the dish is saved by the tacos!My husband ordered a Milanese cake and he tells me that it was more or less good but that it came with little Milanese! My son ordered 4 pastor tacos so that means they were good! The fresh waters are good and the horchata seems to me to be made from natural rice and not artificial flavors! There were few or almost no people in the restaurant, I don't know why! What we did notice was that an African American family ordered food and they ordered it all to go! I don't know if they liked it or they didn't know what to order since the man asked my husband what the burger he ate was and my husband clarified that it was a cake and said that he would order that next time! I hope my review is useful! We traveled 25 minutes for the tacos I think it was worth it but if there is another place closer I think I will choose to go somewhere closer
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I went to Montezuma’s ordered Togo because it was in the way home. I ordered a queso for $6.50, Got home, opened my bag and received a 3oz RAMEKIN, thought it was probably a mistake. DROVE alll the way back up there only for the staff to laugh at me, be rude like I was being ridiculous about paying almost $7 dollars for a tiny size Togo ramekin of queso. Didn’t offer to remedy the situation or Maybe provide another. But took it and I told them to give me a refund. So WILD, I will NEVER return.

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. My daughter ordered the shredded taco and ground beef soft taco. The food had a funny taste to it. I ordered the ground beef hard taco. I didn't like the taste of my food either. We told the server we didn't like the taste of the food. He went to get the manager and the manager came and told us we have to pay for the food even though she didn't like it. I explained to the manager that the food was not what we use too. He argued me down that I have to pay for the food even though she didnt like it. After arguing with him for 5 mins that I'm not paying for something she don't like. I explained to him I'll pay for my food and the drinks but not her food. He finally took it off my receipt. The food was not good and the customer service was awful.
