Loved everything about this place, I found by accident, and I'm glad I did, sorry no pictures because the food was completely devoured. I will take pictures next

The food is okay but the service is not so okay. I went to this restaurant for lunch last week. I was trying to complete an assessment on my phone when my food arrived so I didn’t start eating immediately. I heard the woman that served me complaining to another patron that I’m always on my phone when I come in there. Now mind you that was only my second time visiting the restaurant. And yes the first time I was there I was on my phone trying to complete registration for school. Furthermore, if a customer doesn’t start eating their food immediately that’s not anyone’s concern except the customer’s. And to make matters worse, the server rushed me as I was eating. I have no plans of patronizing them again. I still left a tip but never again. It’s a shame that some businesses want people to patronize their business but they don’t know how to treat their customers.

This is place is joke. You sit on plastic chairs, the salad bar looks like something that even bug's bunny wouldn't eat at. They don't speak proper English so before you go in learn how to speak

Very disappointed. First time trying and will not return. The rice and gravy was tasteless, so were the Greens and potato salad. The fish was good and servers were nice, so I didn't give it a complete L. But I am trying truly disappointed.

Me and my husband first time here. There wasn’t a menu to choose like a meal only written on a white board when you walk in. Was unaware of the drinks because a menu was unavailable. I was craving home cooked soul food as a date night experience. The food we got I was expecting it to be the bomb. I was disappointed. I ordered cabbage pot roast and Mac and cheese. Mac was burnt noodles over cooked.. not good at all. Pot roast was fatty.. rice was somewhat hard. Cornbread was good. The cabbage wasn’t good. Lacked seasonings. And very watery. My husband got the flounder Mac and cheese and corn. The corn had a slight burn taste to it. His flounder was cooked perfectly and it was fresh. Food was costly for the experience.

First time here tonight with friends.... the place is clean, the service (Shay) was on point, and the food is delicious! I'd eat here every day if I could. You must try it. I guarantee that you will be satisfied. Oh yeah, and the portions and prices were just right!Parking: No problem finding a parking space, even for big vehicles or trucksWheelchair accessibility: Lots of room and several seating choices to make those in a wheelchair feel comfortable.

The food there wasn’t like I thought and how people say it is. I ordered Ox tails and it had no flavor and it was served with rice and grease instead of gravy like I ask, also cabbage that tasted like vinegar and the Mac and cheese was so greasy. The atmosphere was weird when you have someone staring at you the whole time you in there making weird faces. I don’t know who she was but she was dark skin with braids. Every time I looked up she was staring all in my face. I will never eat there again. A waste of money for food I could cook at home.

Have to say this restaurant is a hidden gem. Came to Columbia with my mother and son and decided to eat here. Food is fantastic, omg. Well seasoned, big portions and the atmosphere is wonderful. I advise everyone and their families to eat here.
