Ruth's Chris Steak House

In town for a convention this week. Mickey and James have been the most outstanding bartenders not only for myself and my customers, but to everyone that walks into the room. Excellent recommendations on drinks, wonderful conversations, and the most professional and entertaining demeanor not only with myself, but with our entire group. I couldn’t name a better duo that handled the rushes of many customers where I still felt like I was the only one in the bar with how I was treated and served with excellent personal service. Not only is the an excellent reflection on themselves as people, but the type of employees that any company should strive to have and value as it sets the tone for excellence in the entire brand of the company. Well done, Well Done, Well Done again!!

We sat at the bar. Mickey took care of us and he made our visit feel like we were visiting an old friend. The Lamb Chops were the standout dish for us. Wine was very reasonably priced (2x) too! We will visit again.

The food and service was amazing you couldn’t ask for a better place to spend your evening. Best part about the whole night was definitely our server Kalief your very lucky if you get him as your server.

Amazing service, atmosphere & food! Our servers name was Kalief If you visit this location I 10/10 recommend him! He was phenomenal I had my 7 month old son with me because he has surgery here in columbia & our server was amazing with the baby, He even brought him a little dessert that spelled in chocolate “good luck tomorrow” We will definitely be back!

We never had an opportunity to eat at this restaurant despite having reservations on Christmas Day 2024. After waiting at the restaurant for a long time (along with a lot of other people that were waiting in the hotel's lobby and restaurant's reception area), we had no choice but to cancel our reservation. It was clear that we would have to wait hours just to eat. There were people waiting there for hours with their children to get a table. It was obvious that they were understaffed and poorly managed. It was just chaos. There was water on the floor and no one cleaned it up. The restaurant was a mess. We had to beg one of the staff to get us drinks at the bar. The restaurant should have been closed on Christmas Day instead of treating people so poorly and ruining their holiday.

Had a 6 pm reservation, was told it would be 30 minute wait. 45 minutes later still waiting. Couldn’t even get a drink at the bar because staff was completely overwhelmed with dishes piled high. Completely mismanaged restaurant. We left after confirming they wouldn’t charge us for cancelling the reservation. Wouldn’t waste your time here especially on a special occasion.

This is the second time I have had an unpleasant experience at This Ruth Cris. To start, the food was overly salty for one dish had to send it back. The second dish overcooked lamb chops. The.third issue was we ordered the stuffed chicken and were told after an hour of waiting it was not available. My steak was poorly seasoned and under cooked. A truly bad experience.

Food always on point! Because I was celebrating my birthday, we received a free appetizer and dessert. The service was top notch.

Every experience I have had here has been good. Sometimes service isn’t super fast but it is fine dining. Go to fast food if you want it fast.

Thanksgiving.
The holiday meal was truly delicious. I had the filet. I was not impressed in the least. The plate was filthy. Who expedited this?. The steak comes in 2 conditions, burnt or raw. Choose wisely.
The quality of the steak was average for fine dining, but no in-house steak sauce?. Disappointing.
The house lemonade was acceptable. Beer selection was appallingly dismal.
The decor was so drab that Floridians should be forewarned. Funeral home vibe. Spurrier's in Gainesville should be your goal, whomever.
Save yourself the yawn addled experience of this overrated steak house, in my opinion.
