Always love their food as it relates to taste however, the portions are highway robbery. The California rolls barely have rice and the other pieces are so small. The win glasses are the size of the little cups that you swish your mouthwash out with.Value has diminished greatly.

Outstanding authentic Japanese food. It takes a bit longer to make and is worth the wait! Our meals are Katsu Don. So good!

First time we showed up, they were closed hours early without a notice. The second time we came, they said they were "running out of rice" so they were closing 2 hours early with a half full restaurant.Tried calling ahead of time both times, but phone always has a busy tone even when no one was on the phone.

This place is a hidden gem.I’ve eaten at “5 star” restaurants that don’t even compare to the level of quality of food as produced here. The Owner and Probably Chef is a master of his craft. Although we didn’t get to speak to anyone but our server, the food came promptly, every dish warped you into Japan, and the atmosphere made you forget you’re in Columbia, SC. Just for a moment. If you’re a sushi fan, just order the combination plate A, B, C.Let the master of his craft woo you.The Mochi is also out of this world. This should cost between 40-50 per person.Eat in, the way it should be. There should be a line around the block to eat here.
IT SUCKS SO FREAKING MUCH THAT THESE LITTLE MOM AND POP SHOP DON’T STAT OPEN DURING THE DAY..... KEEP STOPPING BY, BUT GUESS WHAT "WE'RE CLOSED" SMH... GET A GRIP ON YOUR

A great after work spot. Especially if you not looking to cook, not wanting to break the bank, and leave like you got your worth in return. I was well pleased with Sakura. All around great place.
They NEVER answer the phone. Calling for takeout is literally impossible. This is not a cheap hole in the wall restaurant. It’s expensive and it’s usually not crowded! How they stay in business amazes me.

The menu was deceiving and the food was overpriced for what you get. Not what I expected based on it being a Japanese steakhouse. Very small portions, not fried rice and extra stuff that I didn’t want (wasn’t listed with the menu item).
Having lived in Japan, this is the most authentic Japanese we could find restaurant in Columbia. It may not satisfy Americans if they think Japanese food is like Hibachi and they expect tons of food, but the food is very high quality and very authentic. We love this place.

Everything we had was great. Very good quality food. Chicken teriyaki, salad dressing and sushi where our favorites but everything else tasted just as good. It's a cute small little spot with a smaller menu which is great! Excellent service.

Went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all( somewhat surprised, but whatever). Quick seating for three and the waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great and well presented. Sufficiently sized portions. I would definitely return for more.
