Always perfect service and ambience. Steak was really tough -so surprised based on many wonderful meals here. Should have returned so that's on us. Could not eat even half but it was a huge portion. Halibut even without the topping (per my request) was moist and cooked to perfect texture. Shrimp cocktail superb. A bit cold on arrival ,let chill a bit before devouring!
The food was delicious but my shrimp and grits gave me indigestiong but my daughter had a wonderful meal for her birthday!
Our waiter Jake was very attentive and helpful with explaining menu choices. The food was delicious.
Went for restaurant week and got to choose 3 courses for $59 Ordered the fried green tomatoes, kale and cranberry salad, and the fish of the day(grouper) No notes, everything was delicious!!! Great Cocktails too! Shout out to Nick behind the bar!
$59 Restaurant Week deal can't be beat! Everything was fabulous! Pork Chop...WOW! Wines, greatly overpriced, but that is to be expected, unfortunately.
Saluda's has been around a long time in our town and gone through ups and downs with different ownership/management, so I hadn't been in a while--but went for a birthday dinner with family recently and it is definitely in an UP period. So I heartily recommend it. The setting is lovely, beautiful hardwood floors, white tablecloths, big open space--a bit loud when full, but we dined on the late side and as people left, it was not too bad at all. More importantly, the food is EXCELLENT . I had what was literally the best pork chop of my life, a huge thick piece seared beautifully on the outside but not overly dry on the inside, a very hearty meal with its sides. I'm not a huge pork chop but if it could be this good I'd have it all the time. My family had scallops which they praised highly, and the accompanying rice and sea peas also delicious. Caesar salad--- often an afterthought in many restaurants--- was also very well done here, perfect dressing, the correct romaine lettuce, garnished with lovely tiny red "sweety" peppers which I never had before but are the perfect complement. Our "pecan old-fashioneds" before the meal were as good as any old-fashioned I've had, so kudos to the bar staff too. Desserts were good if not quite as exalted as the rest (creme brulee is a bit overly sugared compared to what the original is really supposed to be). We've had quasi-high-end restaurants in Columbia that were once really good but have drifted downwards recently (not naming any names here)---but I can confidently that Saluda's, based on this recent dinner, is now right back at the very top of places if you're looking for a fine dining experience in this town. I will not let such a long time pass again before coming back!
The food was just ok. There are better places nearby that have better selections if food and welcoming environment.
LOVED our food..we all had appetizers, entrees and cocktails. The special Old Fashioned with sweet potato was a hit. The oysters, raw, excellent. Osso Bucco, perfection and huge portion. Rachel our server could not have been better, and the staff all chipped in for timely and friendly service. Will go back. The views and ambiance were superb.
Great entries and appetizers, excellent service and atmosphere. Our server, Jacob did a fantastic job.
The physical room is gorgeous. The waiter was attentive but not hovering. He gave each dish glowing reports. The food was bland. We were underwhelmed by the scallops and by the Shrimp and Grits. One person was disappointed by the Filet Mignon. I would not recommend Saluda's because of the food.

I got a call from this restaurant today. I was told that if I can’t tip a certain amount, that I’m not welcome to come back and eat there. I was eating at this restaurant once a week. However my last experience, the waitress gave off such a nonchalant attitude and I felt like she dealt with us because she had to. I tip accordingly. So she didn’t receive such a great tip. I am so shocked because I’ve never had this happen nor have I heard of it smh so no I won’t be back. I’ll go somewhere who appreciates my service

We had a wonderful time. Our waiter was fantastic! He made it a very pleasurable evening for our family!
We have been wanting our friends to try this restaurant for years and finally had our schedules work out to meet for dinner. They absolutely loved the food they had the cheese board - fried green tomatoes - pork appetizers and salads and the pasta special...we had the scallops and the fish.... Although we were all full, we still got desserts. Saludas has the absolute best menu!
Awesome service and food. Atmosphere was GREAT!!!!

Food was ok. Was seated at a folding table that collapsed during our meal. Glasses and plates hit the floor. Scene. Waitress gave us an apology. Manager not a word. Did not even come by. Had to seek him out. Unapologetic. Asked if everything was ok? Really. Take my picture. Will never be back. Accidents happen but this guy doesn't know how to run a business, period.
