Walking in the building smells weird. The waiter was fast but the chips were stale. The cheese didn't taste like cheese. The actual food was worse. I thought all San Jose were the same but that will be a no. I will stick with the one closer to my home.

This place is okay. Get their normal food. Don't get anything you're unsure about. I got the chili poblanos today. They were absolutely disgusting. They were so bad that I couldn't even eat them rolled in a tortilla. They were mushy and tasted like puke. I accidentally sliced off pieces that ended up in my bite. Made me straight up gag. Get their dishes that are just meat and sides. I've had good food from them, but those stuffed bell peppers were so gross that I can't stop thinking about them. The normal foods I have gotten from them have been good. Don't bother with anything else. Don't order anything outside of normal things. ?

Some of the very best and fastest customer service, friendly and courteous wait staff of anywhere I have eaten!! I had a small frozen mango margarita and a grilled shrimp quesadilla for less than 10 bucks! Try to beat that!!
Me & my husband stopped in for lunch today. We decided to sit at the bar. There was no bartender the whole time we were there. The margaritas were good. The streak fajitas were nasty. The queso was good. My husband got a chimichanga & he enjoyed it. Overall we wouldn’t visit again due to the mediocre service.

We almost always have a great experience at San Jose. Their choriqueso is the best. The service can be excellent… or subpar. On this occasion it was a solid 4 out of 5 stars, the waiter could’ve been a bit more attentive (we had to get up and pay at the front; every other time I’ve been here the wait staff takes the bill with your card).
