Will no longer eat at this establishment. Everytime I go it's a different experience. I have gave this restaurant 3 strikes. First one was the Restrooms always stank and nasty smell like sewer. Second is the service from the waitress that isn't very attentive. Literally was looking around for my waitress to ask for chopsticks and to refill my drinks. Third is the food being thrown all over the grill coming off the sides and everyone at the table choking from the smoke. And the part where they made me pay a $30 gratuity and they didn't deserve that at all. Prefiero no regresar aún lugar así de asqueroso.

Known for their Hibachi, there is an above average sushi counter in the corner. Special Beltline roll was delicious and only $12.99. From 5 to 6 pm they have $19.99 combo Hibachi specials.
The Hibachi chefs vary quite a bit in personality, style and confidence. We had one who didn't do anything entertaining or really interact and would prefer the opposite, especially having our kids there. Still recommend it for sure!

This use to be one of our favorite places but last night, horrible experience. As soon as our party got seated it seemed unusually warm inside. The longer we sat, the hotter it got.
Our waiter was nice, the restaurant was basically empty, our mixed drinks served my the manger took forever and our chef was friendly and talented.
I’m an extremely cold natured person but by the time our chef started cooking sweat was rolling down our bodies. I asked why was it so hot and he said the AC was broken. My body temperature was so high I wanted to abandon our party and leave.
The restaurant could have put a sign on the door or at least said something before we ordered. A 200 dollar meal wasted, I couldn’t eat anything. And my drink didn’t have nearly enough ice in it.
This was my friend first time coming to a place I spoke so highly of and it turned out to be a complete disappointment.
Over the past 10 years we’ve been to this place several times. It gets worse each time. Seems as if the owners don’t put any money back into the business. There is and has been a raw sewage smell near the bathrooms by the kitchen, idk what it is but it should have been fixed years ago. Smells like swamp water sitting under the floor or something.
The place is filthy, we had to wipe our sticky chairs with baby wipes and the wipes were black. 🤮 The carpet is dated and nasty, I don’t think the vents work, the air is so smoky it’s thick and difficult to breathe. I suggest putting in some windows or opening the back door. Honestly, it’s probably 1000 violations about this place.
After we complained, no compensation was given and no apology offered. I feel bad for the staff having to work in that kind of unnecessary heat.
It’s fair to say, this was our last trip to Satos, it’s other options in Columbia where the competitors cook the same but maintain their establishments way better.
To anybody dining in Columbia, read the reviews. A lot of these places overcharge for lackadaisical service and subpar food. The restaurant scene here is not it. When customers stop spending where they are not valued maybe the restaurants will step up.

I haven't been to this location in more than 30 years! It had a different name back then, but I still enjoy the live cooking at the hibachi grill! The food was awesome and plentiful. Had enough for lunch the next day!

I honestly hesitate to write this review because I feel like this sushi bar is one of the best kept secrets in Columbia, and I like it that way. But it truly is. People come here for the hibachi, but the sushi bar can’t be matched anywhere that I have found in the greater Columbia area. And the gentleman preparing the sushi is amazing. He remembers us and our order every time and has impeccable customer service and such a friendly demeanor. Its the only place we go to for sushi.

Took my daughter here to celebrate her graduating. They had hibachi and I had sushi! Food was really good! I also tried their pinacolada and it was pretty decent as well!

The sitting was a lil uncomfortable I just double the cushions other than that everything was awesome.

The staff was great. They were even nice after my party started 1 hour late. My cons of the place is it is extremely smoky. Hard to breathe with so much smoke and not enough ventilation. We had one family met who was extremely sick by Sunday morning and I was admitted to the hospital soon after with Nora virus. On Monday. The party was Saturday. Do what you wish with this information. All im saying is I will never go back.

This place needs a deep cleaning. The cooks where real nice but the head lady is extremely pushy when you are in a large group.
