New owner very accommodating, but not quite as good as previous owner.So far

Mac and cheese wasn’t good at all dry and not enough cheese yams had hair in it and a lot of cinnamon but everything else was good and that was the greens hamburger steak rice and gravy butter beans was dry with no taste and they were burnt I won’t b returning but hey try for yourself

Was expecting great flavor but the pork chops had no seasoning at all, very bland and the shrimp and grits were awful. Shrimp still had tail and some shell on them. Yams were so sweet and too much cinnamon. I am a Charleston girl and love soul food, this was NOT soul food!

I never leave reviews but this was the most unprofessional restaurant we’ve been. We ordered at 4:50pm online and still waiting at 8:20p.m. We’ve been told 15 and 30 mins left more than once. Poor communication and customer service. Unfortunately we have paid $110+ and waited with small children in the vehicle for hours! We’ve even gone back across town grocery shopping and pre-ate waiting on this order. At this point, it doesn’t matter what the food looks or tastes like. This is ridiculous to wait twice as long as the 60-120 minute provided time.The ONLY reason we’re still waiting is because of the money already spent. I would highly recommend going anywhere else, this was disappointing to say the least we tried.

Went to pick my order up and the lady gave my food to a door dasher. I was pissed. Then thought I was going to wait another hour for her to prepare my food again. I just got my refund.

Ok I’ma just say I have no clue how the restaurant business works. But I do know that it takes structure and organization!!!! This place has neither!!!!! I can’t speak on the food because we never even got a chance to get our food. I didn’t see the reviews until I came to make my own! These folks are not lying when they say you are going to wait!!!

We came in around 5pm on today June 29 2025… Our order was placed and paid for at 5:20 fast forward 7:15 pm we just went ahead and requested a refund! No way we sat in that restaurant for Almost 2 hours watching people come in and go out. Heard a few others complain but they still received their order! By the time we requested the refund they “were about to start our order”. Nah we cool, blessed atmosphere tho had the gospel on 1000000000!!!!! I think that’s why I sat for so long without going off! I’m sure the food may be good but I’ll never know… If you do decide to go just make sure you have nothing else to do because you will be waiting!!! The lemonade was good… Pretty sad tho because we had our mouths set up for some good food…

Do yourself a favor: order your food, give them a couple hours, pick up your food, and you will not be sorry. The macaroni and cheese knocked me slam out! Hamburger steak, chicken, collard greens, and
hash and rice were all seasoned and prepared perfectly!

You can tell the food doesn’t sit under a heat lamp all day. They take their time to serve you food so delicious you will definitely return. The portions were great. Well worth the wait. Not fast food, fabulous food.

The food is absolutely delicious!! Call ahead, this is not a fast food place! It's made to order and absolutely worth it!!

I ordered the meat and 3 sides. I had fried chicken, candied yams, mac& cheese, and collard greens. The meal came with cornbread. All the food was fresh and delicious. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the wait. I waited for over 30 mins after ordering. I'll definitely come back when I'm wanting so good soul food but I'll for sure call ahead!

The best soul food in Columbia. But they been closed recently. I been going everyday hoping they open. Columbia needs this great place. Hopefully you guys pull back through and continue your great service.

We came to visit our son for a week from Texas , he was graduating from army boot camp so we had no place to go for thanksgiving. We just so happened to drive up to Seasoned with Soul and was blessed with a wonderful thanksgiving dinner. Everything was so delicious and everyone was so nice. This was family away from family. I cannot express how blessed we felt.

Ya’ll should remove yourselves from doordash. If you can’t have the order ready when the app tells people to come get it, then you’re wasting a lot of people’s time. And although the little boy dealing with all the customers who have been waiting for 30 minutes was very kind, yall could have at least sent an adult to deal with unhappy customers.
As a door dasher, if I’m told to wait 15 minutes for a high paying order and then I come back in and the order isn’t ready 20 minutes later, I’m forced to stay here and wait for it or else I’m just not making any money for the time I spent here.
I haven’t even been given a chance to complain because the only employee who’s interacted with the customers looks like he’s ten years old.
