Unfortunately we never got the chance to try the food primarily because we could never get seated. We got there close to lunch time but it appeared that they were having some kind of meeting and they just said we'll be with you in a little bit and all of them were sitting at a table it appeared they were just chit-chatting. Looked like They were eating and we were just left staring in amazement, so we felt if the service is that bad perhaps we shouldn't go any further and we turn around and left.

The first thing you'll notice is the place is dirty, the floors, the walls, everything.
Secondly the food was all cold, the chicken dried into a jerky like consistency. Grits so old they were on social security.
The cherry on top was being in line for the buffet and then being told we had to hurry as they were closing, it was 2pm.
Didn't have fatback but the food was great. The service was too.

It was wonderful! Our family of over 20 met there right after a Funeral. They sat us at a large table by the buffet. The lunch buffet and salad bar was only $9.99!

Everything down to the pot roast tasted like vinegar. I mean everything. The only thing that was okay ish was the chicken. The salad dressings were extremely watered down. It was hot in there. There was basically no options either. Hands down the worst Shoneys that I have ever been to. The food was basically inedible. We told the waitress and she seemed like she didn't really believe us. We really shouldn't had paid there was a ridiculous amount of food left on our plates. The only thing we consumed was the chicken. Do not go here.
