The atmosphere was good. The food had been there too long probably all day with spoiled bell peppers on the buffet bar. We should have done breakfast/brunch instead.

The restaurant smelled dirty and musky. The food options were limited and the food looked old on the bar. The salad bar tasted horrible. The service was bad; the greeting was unwelcoming and the atmosphere was off. The staff seemed annoyed, etc. This was the worst Shoney’s I have ever visited. There typically is some sort of consistency between the different locations but this one wasn’t it. Plus they had no options for kids or any ice cream or the famous Shoney’s bread pudding. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go to the Sumter location it’s the best so far.

Waitress seated me at a table that was dirty and underneath the table was trashy! She came and use a napkin to wipe off the table but never swept floor. French toast and waffles were burnt and cold! Ordered a coffee it was real dark and lukewarm looks like the filter need to be cleaned it’s horrible and I will not return to this location

It was clear that no one wanted to work because they were saying, it's not my turn. Once they established who was going to be our server, it was fine. If the food that was ordered was on the buffet, that is where it came from. Overall experience was fair.
I haven't been to Shoneys in years because their food was horrible and the service was bad. Went back this year (2024) and many changes had occurred. Our meal was excellent and well proportions. We'll return!

No, no, NO! Went in for "breakfast all day". Hostess was lounging in a booth, so I grabbed my own menu. I was the only customer in the place, and it took 20 minutes for a waitress to come over. Took my order in increments, as if I hadn't had plenty of time to decide. Saw a couple of other employees just leaning on booths. Couldn't get an item on the all day menu. What I did get had nothing that was described in the menu, missing the side. This was 30 minutes later. Meanwhile I cleaned my own table of syrup and whatever else was stuck on it, with the one napkin I got. I remember years ago when this was a great place to go. Now it's a great place to avoid. Only 2 stars because waitress was polite.

Visiting from Texas and wanted to fuel up and some good food nearby. Chicken was hot and crispy, sides were delicious, salad was nice and fresh, staff very friendly. Definitely try the buffet for your southern food needs.

My fiance and I stopped by to eat breakfast. We ended up doing to go boxes. The food was hot and delicious. Cashier was friendly and checked us out quickly. This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. 💜
