The food is good, but please check your order before you leave! I picked up my order, arrived home and I had someone else's order, with only 1 thing that I actually ordered! I live at a minimum of 15 minutes away, kinda too far to be going back and forth. This was a total inconvenience...Southern Crave please pay more attention to detail....

Absolutely amazing! The soul food was on point — seasoned just right, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell everything’s made with love. The staff were so kind and welcoming too. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go!

This food was 100 out of 10 , I found them in TikTok. It didn’t disappoint. I ordered oxtails fries , my daughter ordered seafood spud . We also order fried fish , greens and THOSE EGG ROLLS !!!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY DRIVE 25 minutes again . They are priced very reasonable.

I spent 23.57 for fried chicken 2 sides and a small side of mac n cheese just to regret it. Customer service was ok. I personally will not come back. It’s WAY too expensive to be this borderline. The Mac n cheese noodles were hard and the cheese around it was wet, the collards had no juice (dry) but taste ok, the yams were mixed new and old but taste good, the fried chicken flavor was good but I think it was old .. when I bit into it all the crust came off making a mess (hard). Never again..

I had visit this establishment in August of this year, there payment systems wasn’t working properly when I tried to purchase my food. When I saw my payment wasn’t going through I went my bank and withdrew money out of account to pay for my food. I call restaurant to talk to owner they but me on hold and then someone hung up. So I call the restaurant back, the owner had his employees to say he left. I have my receipt to prove I paid in cash. And I have talked with my bank and the told me I needed to call the restaurant which I did. I letting people know that Southern Crave is the worst business to handle and situation that their payment system doesn’t work properly, and the owner doesn’t know how to handle business with his customers. This warning for those of you who had an issue with their payment system please check you bank statements. I spent about 100 dollars that day

I truly enjoyed my food at Southern Crave! I had the smoked oxtails and they were DELICIOUS! OMG this should be a delicacy! I’ve never had them prepared like this and that is one of the reasons why I order the oxtails. My sides (Mac n Cheese/Collard Greens) were flavorful and seasoned just right!

If you’ve been on the fence about going, don’t be! The owner was nice enough to let me sample his chicken salad too! Very tasty! I will be back for more, for sure! FYI, this is take out or delivery restaurant.

I ordered the country fried dish and an oxtail plate. I have not yet tried the oxtail. When I arrived home and opened the chicken plate, I noticed it appeared to be wet, suggesting it may not have been fully cooked. I attempted to eat what I could, but I felt it was not worth my time or money. The chicken skin was not crispy, and I was disappointed that the meal did not meet proper cooking standards. Due to these issues, I decided it was not worth returning the meal or wasting additional time and effort.

I’m originally from Baltimore, MD & I visited the take out spot on 8/28/2025 for the first time after googling soul food restaurants in the Columbia, SC area. After calling the restaurant to place my order over the phone and not receiving an answer. I ended up just driving to the restaurant and placing an order inside. The young lady was the only person there and what appeared to possibly be only
one cook. Once I placed my order, I had to return about 20 minutes later to pick up the food I ordered. On the outside of the establishment it appeared to need a deep cleaning from bugs and other outside elements. I ordered the shrimp and grits, the seafood platter add fried shrimp, with sides as seafood Mac and cheese and yams. I also ordered the brisket baked potato. The shrimp and grits were delicious and even the grits were seasoned well. The brisket potato was delicious and the flounder and fried shrimp were pretty good. The seafood Mac & cheese didn’t have enough seafood to be called “seafood mac & cheese” in my opinion. The yams needed to be cooked longer to me because I prefer tender sweet potatoes. Overall, I’d definitely return to try other menu items.

I purchased wings on 8/8 /25 and they were very good. So much so that I purchased them again on 8/16/25. However, the experience was not the same. The wings were not done. I messaged the business on FB Messenger after arriving home and attempting to eat them. I wanted to share the experience privately so they could make the correction. I was not asking for anything in return. I never received a response to the message. Fast forward to 8/19/25 at about 10 mins after they opened. I asked for a manager or the owner. I was told he was not there and was asked for my name and number. I left the information with the young lady and also advised her that I sent a message on FB Messenger. I never received a return call. I called again on 8/20/25 a little after 5 pm and was also told he was not there. Still no call or response to my message. Food should be checked to ensure it has reached the proper temperature, especially chicken. I support small businesses whenever I can but unfortunately this one will not make the cut.

The food is amazing!! All entrees are freshly prepared. This is a pick up eatery. No sitting in. Order your good then come and get it. I have and will recommend Southern Crave to my family and friends.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! The food was delicious! The servers were great! Both were professional and helpful, very kind and patient with the old folks. And our Reverend announced from the pulpit the next morning - “that food was so good at Sis Ervin’s party yesterday!” Will definitely be using Southern Carve for catering again! I thank you and appreciate you so much. Best wishes💞
