This is the best spot for lunch in Columbia. It is consistently excellent with a rotating selection of great specials and unique flavors. The burger on Fridays is unequaled. Whether you dine in or take out, the food quality is superb.

I don’t go here enough!! That’s all that kept running through my mind as soon as I opened the door to this quaint little luncheon cafe (they do catering too). You get in a rut and go to the same few places in a 5 mile radius but do yourself a huge favor and take a best friend or a date or someone who really needs to be treated to an awesome lunch and enjoy a wonderful meal at the Spotted Salamander♥️. Daily specials for deviled eggs (?), sides and sandwiches along with desserts are a must so be sure and check the board when you walk in. Like a nice glass of wine with lunch? Done! Such a beautifully decorated cafe in an old home on Richland St in downtown Columbia. Do yourself a favor and get there when they open to get street parking and first choice of the tables. There are some outside tables as well but if you know summers in SC…wait for one of those in the fall. I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t rave about for days after! This is a must visit!

Cute little spot, my husband and I ordered the brisket sandwich they were so tough. Flavor was there but made this already messy sandwich inedible. Staff made it right and took it off our bill the coconut cake and crack pie was good.

My friend and I went for lunch yesterday. We both had chicken baguettes and they were delicious. I also go a butter brown chocolate chip cookie and my friend got the snickers cake. We also had the deviled eggs of the day. Everything was delicious.

Great selection at lunch, superior service, great quality of ingredients. All in my party had salads, I had the special, a burger that hit the spot. We were all quite pleased with the experience and price. Great value. The salmon on the salad was expertly grilled, the brisket sandwich was nicely dressed.Features: No mask mandatory.

Parking: No dedicated parking, but plenty of street parking on Richland.

The service was good, and the variety of coffee served in the ambiance was very satisfying.....

One of my favourite coffees great tasting aftertaste with a hint fruity flavours!!

We chose a Butter Pecan cake with Nutella/Chocolate Mouse filling and it was unbelievable!
