Went here yesterday after wanting to try this for a while now. First off the parking is bananas because of the Chic Fil A drive thru traffic. Secondly seating is limited due to it not being very spacious. The sushi was abhorently small for the price. The side dish somewhat made up for it but it was pricey as well. I had tempura sushi with chicken fried rice with white sauce and a beer for a whopping $27.97. The service wasn't bad but I was totally underwhelmed. I'll stick to my spot that never misses which is Red Bowl in Sandhills.

Went to Suishaya, told the host that I’d be sitting at the bar. The host said it was ok, I sat there for 15 minutes without a menu, being acknowledged or even offered a drink. After sitting there for 15 minutes, I was finally bought a menu, ordered my food. Saw when my food was brought to the bar area, it then sat there for 10 minutes before it was brought to me. Mind you, there was a total of maybe 10 customers at the restaurant who have been served already, so the restaurant wasn’t busy. I took that into consideration about them being less than attentive. When it was time to pay, I told Michelle, the so called manager, about my experience. She was very argumentative, didn’t take any accountability for the lack of attentiveness to customers. Also, as I’m about to leave she serves another customer (of another race, I may add) with a quickness. Literally once the customer came to sit, before my complaint, she was there offering a drink with a menu in hand. Very dissatisfied.

If you want to take yourself out for date. This is the place! Very nice and quiet. The only thing I didn’t like is the parking lot. That has nothing to do with the restaurants food and service. I hope you try it!!

The food was AMAZING! But our server Melissa was by far the best part of the evening. She was so attentive and friendly! She truly went above and beyond. She even gave us a to-go menu where she highlighted some yummy sushi options to try next time. 10/10 service, we couldn’t thank her enough! We will definitely be back.
Literally my most favorite resturaunt in Columbia. The food is fresh, delicious, and piping hot (or ice cold, if you order something like the seaweed salad).We come here almost every date night, and have never been disappointed!Highly recommend the lychee martini!

The most awful sushi and portion I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of sushi); portion and taste not worth the money I just spent. Oh, let’s not forget the DoorDash fees I spent to get the garbage…What’s the hype? I’m very confused. Also, why shove sushi into the tiniest box making it so impossible to get?! It was pretty much just stuffed in and already falling apart…I have more photos if anyone would like them, submitted them to DoorDash because I was asked to rate this order. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone who ask about good sushi.
