This is really disappointing. This was our second time going here and I will say the first time was exceptional service. Very caring , my partner has a dairy allergy and they were extremely accommodating. BUT!!!!! Tonight 30 August 3025. The service was terrible, the waitress in a pink sweatshirt didn’t come to the table unless she was called over, forgot to bring out the plan white rice for my partner until the very end. By the end of the service she placed to go plates on the side then brought the bill out. We weren’t even finished eating and since the cook messed up twice on my partner’s food, it took a little longer. She already had the bill, when I asked if I needed to pay now, she said yes because she has another table. She stated she wasn’t trying to rush us, come on! She pushed us out. Just terrible service and honestly the food for my partner should have been comp. But we paid and left after that treat. Just terrible!

Sumo is a great hibachi option. The food is always good and a huge portion. The drinks are good enough. The ranch dressing in the salad was like they added water to make it stretch. That was unfortunate. The mushroom/onion broth/soup they serve is delicious if you like those flavors and light. The chef was entertaining and had good conversation throughout the experience. They are very accommodating to those with allergies and make sure there isn’t any cross contamination.

Sat at the sushi bar and it was the experience I have been looking for! A friendly chef that converses with you and provides recommendations with an aquarium to sit next to is my kinda meal Laylanie was kind enough to personalize my dish (at no cost!) and recommend my next course. Def was an inviting, informative and a fun experience It will be hard not to dine at the teppanyaki side but having the flexibility to eat at the sushi bar is def hard to beat ❣️ also thankk you so very much Chef Thirsty (sp? 😅) that salmon dish was so vibrant and delicious I will have to beat my record and order 3 in one setting next time 😎

I wanted to like this place caue it was open and convient for my actual birthday Dinner. I reserved day before. That went ok but once we got to the table we waited 50 min before orders were taken, no drink refills while waiting,no appetizers and no straws. Attendant does not wash hands but walks around scratching his head often.Had to ask for covered straws. Soup no flavor,not enough food cook for amt of people at table, rush thru the process, no birthday song, had to beg for a knife to cut my cake they turn lights off and smoked the place up immediately soon as chef walk away giving no time for me to actually eat! She was nice but no attention to refills,utensils, to go trays,service period. No tip was deserved and bust boy poured chemicals all over grill creating smoke and made everyone choke. Horrible. Staff could take a service course and it would be a much better experience.

I'm willing to give them a second chance maybe🙂 as I acknowledge that the server's inexperience, given their newness, might have contributed to the inefficiencies in taking orders. Upon being seated, it took around 10 minutes for our soft drinks to be served, and an additional 15 to 20 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. Had the establishment been busy, I would have been more understanding; however, the bar was empty. Regrettably, they incorrectly sent our orders to the kitchen, causing a further delay. We've been waiting for 45 minutes, and our food has yet to be served. Additionally, our cocktails seem to lack alcohol, tasting more like juice. Oh well.

Six of us went to Sumo the other evening. Host advised us it would be a few minutes before one of the cooking area tables would be open. We told him that we would sit at a regular table instead. He pointed to a table that would seat all of us. Waited for more than 5 minutes. No menus, no drinks, not one employee, waitress, waiter, manager, or anyone came to wait on us or even acknowledge us. Won't go back.

My first encounter here was very unpleasant because my vegetables were very uncooked. They basically chopped them up and put it in my plate. I called and the manager gave me $20 gift card for my order to be remade. Next time, I ordered shrimp and steak on both visit, but this time my rice so crunchy and barely cooked. At the point, I’m just done with this place. Don’t waste your money. It is not worth. The cooks definitely need learn how to properly cook rice and vegetables.
