Our family prefers to support local and/or small businesses versus company chain businesses.
My daughter picked this restaurant out.
Google can be awful sometimes with directions and/or locations. So to help others out I took pictures to help others find this restaurant. We were not the only ones that Google gave the wrong location too.
If you Google directions, Google will take you the church parking lot that is behind the restaurant off of Lauren's St. The restaurant is off of Main St. across from the Police station. The only parking we could find was street parking with parking meters.
As for the restaurant it is definitely a tucked away location. The staff are very friendly and food was on point! My daughter said her waffles were better than Ihop. She had me try them. They tasted like homemade Belgium waffles, fluffy.

I paid $9.50 for this bacon, egg & cheese sandwich with no side. When I opened it up inside the restaurant, I commented on not seeing any cheese which had been an extra charge. Was informed it was cooked in with the eggs but I couldn’t taste it. Was also charged a $.50 “sandwich surcharge.” Asked about it and was told it was due to the price of eggs.

There's a $1 surcharge for ordering breakfast... At a breakfast restaurant. But I'll be nice. The people were nice, the food was good. Dining in and still eating out of a to-go box was weird but maybe that's their style. I just moved here and this was the only breakfast place in town that knows the difference between hash browns and home fries, so I gave it a shot. Nice enough, but I'm not made of money so getting a surcharge for ordering breakfast here put a bad taste in my mouth.

Good, hot, fresh! The yams were perfect, the flavor profile of fish and chicken were better than any southern restaurant in Columbia. The turkey wing was fall off the bone. They will see my family and I at least once a week ! No joke!

The service and food was excellent! I had salmon patty, grits, egg and toast! My husband, Robert Sweeney had grits, eggs, bacon and toast! The coffee was great! We travelled from Greenville,SC to check out Sunrise Cafe, and we were substantially impressed!

My friends and I dined here for an amazing breakfast. The fried flounder was seasoned to perfection. The pancakes were delicious. Will certainly return to order from their large menu selection. I really enjoyed this scrumptious down home food!

The food was very delicious, price was great and the staff is awesome and makes you feel like family. Service with a smile is very hard to find nowadays, but at this cafe, you can get it all. I’m glad I went and will definitely go again. ❤️?

So I visited for the first time a few days ago and my experience was not what I expected it to be I placed a phone order waited 5 minutes got in the car and drove 20 mins so after finding a park and getting in to let them know I placed a order it was about 30 minutes later and it was still not ready so I paid and waited another 10 minutes only for my two plates to come out wrong they were sent back I waited another 5 minutes to be informed they we out of chicken breast then my burger basket was on Texas toast n it wasn’t till I received the basket n looked at it funny is when I was informed they ran out of buns the food was very decent tasting I just wished the experience was a little better and they were better at informing customers of out of stock items
