I’m out of state. After looking at many bakeries in the Columbia SC area and reading people’s reviews I chose Sweet GG’s bakery. For my daughter's 18th birthday while she’s attending USC in Columbia. I contacted the bakery through their website and I received a response from Nayo right away. Nayo responded to all my emails right away and was very professional, helpful and kind. She made a beautiful cake for my daughter's big day and she was very happy. The decorations we had chosen were beautifully done, there was edible glitter all over the cake and the way the color came out tied it all together. We ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, the cake was super moist even after sitting for a couple of hours in the fridge. The frosting also wasn’t too sweet and overpowering. It was overall, super delicious and I would definitely contact Nayo again and order another cake from Sweet GG’s bakery!!

I don't know what to say...this place has homemade cupcakes and bakery items that are just simply to die for. They are made fresh everyday, to order, and the visual appeal is just awesome. Nayo and her team have done a wonderful job at creating such a unique brand. Highly recommend for parties, work office parties, or even just something to treat yourself to in the afternoon.

I went in to estimate an electrical project for them and came out a brand representative. If you want something for that sweet tooth this is the place to go.

I went this last Saturday and got the marble cake and red velvet cupcake. Let me tell you, I think publix needs to be on their toes. It was beyond delicious. So much so that I had to stop myself from eating it so my partner could try it and he’s still thinking about it a day later. I know where my cake is coming from for my birthday this year.

I came in from out of town to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and decided to order a cake from a local baker. I selected Sweet GGs because she had amazing reviews and her baked goods looked phenomenal on IG and Yelp. Not only did Sweet GGs nail the cake design but it tasted amazing as well. She also delivered it to me which made the day even more special. Thank you!
Aside from my friends, Sweet GG's is the thing I miss most since moving away from Columbia. I used to stop every Thursday for cake, and I quickly learned that I could afford to be a little adventurous because literally everything was so completely delicious. Plus, in addition to being baking wizards, the owners are genuinely lovely people. They greeted me by name every week and always brightened the day by a considerable margin. I still recommend Sweet GG's to anyone who even mentions Columbia. :)

This bakery is a true gem to Columbia, if not the entire state of South Carolina. The shop owner is an absolute sweet and delightful person. We felt very welcomed and the vibe was amazing. The cake and cupcakes tho.. they somehow reminded me of childhood cakes that my Grandma used to make me while also being more flavorful and rich (don’t tell my Grandma). It’s absolutely worth the 3 hour drive from Asheville, and if you’re in the neighborhood, I absolutely suggest checking it out. I will definitely be back!
