Today was my first time there , but definitely not my last. That Kentucky Butter Pound Cake had me back in the bakery for another slice only moments after I left. Let me tell you that cake is so moist. You don’t need a beverage with it at all. The staff was super friendly and made my daughter and I feel so welcomed.

You're not going to find a better slice of cake in Columbia! Every flavor I've tried is absolutely full of flavor. It is moist, dense cake that I am willing to pack on pounds for. So good.
The owner is lovely; so friendly every time I've been in. My kiddos love the cupcakes and chocolate covered pretzels too.
I wish I would have known about this gem of a place before I got married - as the cake would have been a Sweer GG's special for sure! I can't say enough good things and I will be back.

Visiting from out of town yesterday. Stopped in and got a slice of carrot cake (it was hard to choose....they all looked great!) and a pecan chewy. 10/10 recommend! So moist and delicious, and everyone was so kind :). They got it figured out for sure!

Walked in on a whim while my husband picked up dinner from Groucho’s. The ladies greeted me while gentleman was on the phone (yes he acknowledged me with a head nod when I walked in). I purchased the Brown Sugar Brownie and a slice of Red Velvet cake.
Brown Sugar Brownie - 10/10; just enough butter, rich, moist and my husbands fav
Red Velvet - 10/10; I like heavier icing yet still enjoyed this. Again, moist, perfect sweetness and I was also surprised at how big of a slice this was.
All under $10 - definitely will be back

I just ordered a customized cake for the second time. I needed a cake last minute and was still accommodated. The vanilla cake is so moist and literally the best! I was so upset that I had not fixed myself a larger slice. I live out of town, but will continue to use them. I hope she can do my wedding cake!

If you like sweets AT ALL, you must go try this place. It is delicious. The “pecan chewies” are like a yummy chewy cookie/brownie thing that is simply a slice of heaven. Just go!

I’m out of state. After looking at many bakeries in the Columbia SC area and reading people’s reviews I chose Sweet GG’s bakery. For my daughter's 18th birthday while she’s attending USC in Columbia. I contacted the bakery through their website and I received a response from Nayo right away. Nayo responded to all my emails right away and was very professional, helpful and kind. She made a beautiful cake for my daughter's big day and she was very happy. The decorations we had chosen were beautifully done, there was edible glitter all over the cake and the way the color came out tied it all together. We ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, the cake was super moist even after sitting for a couple of hours in the fridge. The frosting also wasn’t too sweet and overpowering. It was overall, super delicious and I would definitely contact Nayo again and order another cake from Sweet GG’s bakery!!

I don't know what to say...this place has homemade cupcakes and bakery items that are just simply to die for. They are made fresh everyday, to order, and the visual appeal is just awesome. Nayo and her team have done a wonderful job at creating such a unique brand. Highly recommend for parties, work office parties, or even just something to treat yourself to in the afternoon.
