We stayed here one night on our way down south to take my teen to college. We arrived around 7:30 very tired and were welcomed by a lovely woman named Barbara. We requested a room with two beds and she informed us that the elevator was out and that our room would be on the 3rd floor. Not a huge deal except for the fact the stairwells are not air conditioned so the trip up 3 flights was a tad sweaty with our luggage. We quickly dropped off items and went to dinner. When we returned, Barbara greeted us with a smile. Things took an unpleasant turn when we were ready to sleep. I always check the beds (mattresses, pads, pillows, etc) for cleanliness, bugs, whatever. To our shock, my bed was dreadful. The mattress pad had what appeared to be a possible blood stain (?), and most definitely sweat/urine/fluid stains and barely fit the bed as straps were either missing or torn. Upon further inspection, the mattress itself had similar stains. We checked my kid’s bed and similar stains were on his mattress with a torn-up mattress pad that did not completely cover the mattress. We showed Barbara the pictures and she was horrified. Under normal circumstances I would have found other accommodations immediately but after being on the road for 14 hours and it being almost 10 pm, we were exhausted. Barbara gave us freshly washed mattress pads (even these still had holes and missing straps) and we remade our beds stripping off the other pads. Barbara offered to do this as well but we handled it. Barbara also said our breakfast at the little Starbucks bistro would be complimentary. We slept rather restlessly as we were aware of the conditions we were sleeping on and once something like this is discovered, one wonders about the cleanliness/sanitation of the rest of the room. In the morning at check-out we informed the day manager and she said she knew about what transpired and left our information for Barbara to get back to us about any further compensation. We never heard from anyone which is disappointing. Our room (Bonvoy member) was billed at $154 including tax which is pretty steep considering no elevator and the unacceptable “ewwww” factor of the beds for a freeway Courtyard. The approximately $25 comp for breakfast wasn’t satisfactory in this case- (it would have been if it was only for the inoperable elevator). I would have loved to give this a higher rating as Barbara was genuinely welcoming and so was the bistro staff that night. The hotel is convenient to the freeway and in a quiet, pretty location. It is about 4 miles from “restaurant row”. However, considering cleanliness of sleeping conditions is the main priority for most hotel stays, they missed the mark. I’d advise new mattresses and updated linens and then I could recommend this property.

Location - literally right next to hospital….not much else near by. Room was a king standard….it was the smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in. We could not get the luggage cart past the entrance door. Had to unload everything into the bathroom. Even with the lights on… Room felt dark and closed in. Room smelled “old and damp” Carpet…towels…bedding felt damp Mattress felt like a hammock

The staff was very welcoming and the hotel overall is one of the best I’ve stayed at! We were greeted with a smile and went straight to the pool where we had a blast. We had a peaceful nights sleep and will be back.

We arrived late last night, got checked in right away and the front desk took the extra effort to find us some extra pillows when they were running low. Comfortable, clean, GREAT 24-hr fitness center with benches and weights and a multi-purpose machine; treadmills were in good shape, floor mats, cleaning supplies— came in very handy when I couldn’t sleep! They serve Starbucks onsite. Service was very friendly, stay sweet! =)

Everyone was courteous and Mary (housekeeping)was the best she helped with what ever we needed , thank you for a pleasant visit. The food was great, and the people running the kitchen were excellent. We’d like to thank everybody for making us feel at home. Thank you all.

WONDERFUL EMPLOYEES was there for a business meeting and we needed help with some things and every person that we talked to was very helpful and polite. I will be staying here whenever I'm in town . Will let my family and friends know as well

My family stayed at this property and we really enjoyed staying there. We enjoyed the pool and just sitting around the patio. It was five of us in the room so we needed extra towels and wash cloths . One of the housekeepers can't remember her name but she even played with my kids

Had friends staying here for the fourth of July and I stopped to visit and I really enjoyed this property. We was able to get in the pool and enjoy sitting around the fire pit just laughing and talking

I stopped by to get direction and from the time I walked through the door I was greeted with a smile. I felt as if I was at home very nice and friendly people. When I do come back to Columbia I will be staying there

We were in the area visiting family and stopped here twice. The salted caramel cinnamon lattes are amazing! Friendly & speedy service as well. Highly recommend!!

We stayed in room 102 June 20-22, 2023. My daughter was bitten by bedbugs and I found and killed one in her bed with a hotel employee in the room helping me look for them. Requested a refund and was told it would be up to the exterminator. I have filed a complaint with Marriott corporate and am waiting for a resolution to this situation.

Literally the best coffee and customer service a coffee shop could have. This is my first time trying The Coffee House and I’m so impressed. She is so friendly and knows how to make a yummy dirty chai! Thank you so much and I will definitely be back ASAP!
