As a small business owner too we don’t charge our clients/customers an extra fee when paying by credit card as we consider it the cost ofDoing business. I spent $299 and was told I’d be charged $8 to pay by credit card. Instead I paid by debit card and won’t be a repeat customer.

I read one review that has been accurate so far about how terrible this place is. The lady owner of the store is the most rude and ignorant person I have ever met. She cussed me out as a young adult for no reason and dropped more F bombs when I asked why she was being rude. Avoid this place at all cost and take your business to a place who values people and has better customer service.

I'd been shopping at Crescent Olive for several years -- and I mean regularly as use the vinegar in my daily smoothie -- when I encountered an issue with a package of pasta that I'd purchased from them. I'm 60 years old, part Italian, have been cooking since I was 6 and make pasta often. That being said, I know enough to recognize the difference in cooking pasta made from different grains, in various shapes or involving different ingredients (egg vs no egg, for example.) The package I bought from Crescent Olive was gluten-free so I paid particular attention to the instructions as I'm unfamiliar with gluten-free pasta. It was horrible, turning into a huge, slimy clump of . . . whatever. I phoned Crescent Olive to relate my unpleasant experience with this product and after being questioned as to whether or not I read the directions (fair question,) I assured the owner that I had and had followed them to a 'T.' The reply was that he'd cooked it and had no problems. I suggested that perhaps mine was a different lot but he told me that he made some from that shipment and his was fine. I have spent a lot of money at Crescent Olive on oils, vinegar (in particular) and pasta. I have never had an issue prior to that and have never registered a complaint or tried to return anything. What I had hoped to gain was a credit against future purchases but the owner was recalcitrant. By refusing a refund/credit of $12.99, he will now forfeit literally hundreds of dollars of business from me. I don't understand this business model but it doesn't include 'the customer is always right' or even 'maybe the customer is right this time' or even 'hey, my whole sale on this product isn't worth losing a regular customer.' A credit of $12.99 would have been a goodwill gesture that would have netted years of loyal patronage -- even if he did believe that I had caused the failure. I have found an alternate source of my favorite vinegar (I believe it is the exact same source and tastes exactly the same) which is cheaper and delivered right to my door. I would have never looked elsewhere if I'd been treated differently. Let mine be a cautionary tale on what to expect if you ever encounter an issue with any of Crescent Olive's products.

Great little shop with a variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. If you bring your bottle back to refill it, you get a discount. The individuals who work there are very kind and incredibly knowledgeable about their products.

Never in my life had I heard of olive oil tastings, but some relatives came to town and brought me along on their little adventure. First off, the owner is super nice and obviously loves educating people on the health benefits and quality of good olive oils. She did a mini-lesson with us and another couple and then let us go sample all the oils with bread. I can't remember all my favorites but the garlic one was awesome. Then, we got to try the flavored vinegars with vanilla ice cream! Vinegar on ice cream?! Yes! The chocolate and raspberry ones were delicious. My aunt and uncle ended up buying like 3-4 bottles of oil/vinegar. It'd totally be worth it to check this place out for the great flavors, information, and amazing customer service.

A super nice guy helped me choose a delicious combination of olive oil and vinegar. I purchased the Tuscan olive oil and the cranberry pear balsamic vinegar. I made a salad tonight with a variety of lettuces, radishes, tomatoes, and cucumbers all from our garden. The dressing made it scrumptiously delicious! I will definitely be back for more! I also purchased a gift (olive oil/vinegar) for a white elephant gift and he bagged it up beautifully. Great customer service which is very hard to find these days. Thanks for a great experience!

Thank you to all the staff for being so knowledgeable and letting my friend and I try as many flavors as we liked. I wanted to buy the whole store! They even entertained my toddler while I was looking around, so that made it much less stress free. I can’t wait to try out some recipes with my purchases. I highly recommend this store!

This is a fun place to spend a little time sampling oils and vinegars -- so many diverse flavors, and great staff there to suggest how to mix the flavors and use them at home. Their products are a little more pricey than you would get at a local supermarket, because of the quality, variety, and customer service (free tastings!). If you're looking for a break on the price, look at their website and social media for various discounts on special days or return your empty bottles from the store and refill them for a small discount. Thanks to the Crescent Olive I make my own delicious salad dressings and many of my own sauces for veggies and meat. I love this place and their products.
