Walked by when traveling and one of the shop staff pulled me in to check out some lemon meringue. If you are a meringue lover like me definitely go try it!!! I can tell you it was baked to perfect and so fluffy. The beautiful design of swirls and perfect bounce of fluff with a gorgeous balance of white and golden brown. I wasn’t in the mood for pie but when he told me to try it definitely can say it was 100% worth it.

If you see bad reviews it's mostly likely older ones when the straddle shop first started. From what I understand, the straddle shop used to have bad employees but now it's great! The straddles are especially delicious. My favorite is the Blueberries and cream

Delicious! On Sunday they host an all you can eat brunch and it’s a great way to taste a little of everything on the menu.Everything is fresh and made with so much care. We really enjoyed the chicken pot pie, and the mixed berry cream cheese was perfect. Honestly really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.We had the privilege of experiencing the owner play a beautiful piece on the piano. It was nice treat in downtown Columbia. 10/10Parking is easy to navigate we just parked in the garage and it was $1 an hr

This is a different review for a very different experience. We sought this cafe out just based on the word 'strudel ' but arrived to see it was closed due to a catering event. As we stood out front, trying to decide where to go next, the owner opened the door and invited us in. He pulled down 2 chairs, moved a table out, and offered us a few options he could provide despite being very clearly busy preparing a huge order for the event. This would never happen in 99% of businesses. I wish we lived nearby so I could make this my regular haunt. A business owner with a true love of his trade and heart for the people he serves. God bless him.

We have been to the Strudel Shop MANY times, and we were even able to take one of his Strudel making classes. We recommend checking out the weekend brunch. The food is always amazing, and Chef Kevin is a ridiculously talented chef.

Where to start with this gem of a place. After getting a cream puff and apple strudel just before closing on Friday, we knew we had to come back for brunch on Saturday. Kevin, the owner, and his brother and father, did not disappoint. Phenomenal food, the best pastries and amazing dishes, making the all you can eat brunch more than worth our time and money. But that might not even be the highlight of our experience here. The family entertained, cracked jokes, played the piano, ran around and created an unforgettable time for all the guests. We had to leave the city right after, but the moment we are within an hour's drive of Columbia, we will be back and we will surely not be disappointed by Chef "karate kicking pastries in the face" Kevin. See you soon!(Also: this is the best European style food/pastries I've had outside of Europe)

Excellent service from Chef Kevin during my 1st visit. The chicken pot pie was hands down the best I’ve had! Parking is not the easiest but absolutely worth the effort!

The food is absolutely amazing, and the chef had my roommate and I laughing the entire time we were in there. Everything's obviously fresh, and the chicken pot pie is the best I've ever had.

Great strudel! Great guy who owns the place. Handmade strudel is a true art. Very welcoming place.

Went for brunch, and the food was so good. The staff is super nice. I told them I have a cinnamon allergy and they made a strudel without cinnamon so that i would be able to enjoy it.
