Went here for breakfast. Food and service was really great! Staff were friendly and service was fast. Best thing we had was the shrimp biscuits and gravy with jalepenos. Overall all of the food was delicious and we will definitely be back!

I searched for a breakfast place in Columbia and saw The Toasty Hot Spot it looked good especially with 5 star reviews . The Hostess and Servers were very nice and the food was ok ... 3 omelettes and a buttered bagel later I think my expectations were too high . I felt like i was in a school cafeteria with plastic utensils (spork and plastic knife) No sugar for coffee ,and had to ask for ketchup ( packets and ketchup was auburn) jelly packets were outdated and had a weird taste and the bagel had a spot of butter and seemed stale even toasted . Like I said omelettes were ok . I know people that have businesses need to make money but for an eatery you have to put money out to make it . Toasty Hot Spot , Thank you for your service and I wish you the best of luck .

My sisters and I (group of 5) visited this location for the first time and it was amazing. The inside is very small and has limited seating so manage your expectations. The food was delicious! I personally had the Gullah grits! We had one that was vegan and our waitress Zaniyah was VERY professional and ensured that we were all taken care of! 10/10 recommend and I can’t wait to visit again!

Very small, had to sit on high stools with no where to place purse or coat. They didn’t have what my husband ordered first the sea skillet supreme so he had to reorder, I received my food 20 minutes before his. We were about to leave and just pay for my food when his finally arrived. The food was good and the server was nice even though it took a while to get us drink and silverware.

The new location is cute but the service needs work. The lady at the hostess stand greeted us, seated us, and gave us a menu. However the server with the blond hair never greeted us or took our order. Our lunch break is only an hour. We got there between 1:15 - 1:20 and left about 1:35 because of no service. Mind you, everybody else including the other people sitting beside us either had their drinks or getting their drinks and food. There is only one dining area and everybody can see each other so there was no excuse to not come over and see if we were ready to order or get drinks. My friends and I ended up get snacks from a convenience store and rushing back to work.

Didn’t even get to try the food because no one would acknowledge us. My friends and I sat there for 10 minutes and not one person asked us what we wanted to drink. We decided to leave because even though the people saw us and told us where to sit, they didn’t want to take our order.

My wife and I will NEVER come back here again! When we're walking up the stairs to the entrance...one of the waitress saw us and instead of her holding the door open, she turns her back let it close in my wife's face. Right there...I knew our visit wasn't going to be pleasant. I will be putting this establishment on blast on Facebook! Bet that!
