Went to War Mouth during Cotton Town Art Crawl 2025. We were ignored while seated at bar. Took 25 minutes before one of the three people behind bar asked if we wanted something to drink. We were a party of 4 at bar. It was not packed. Bartender refused to make cocktail. Would only serve beer. Very rude. Menu sounds cool, but actual food is not worth the price.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich with home made chips. I’m thinking they don’t have a deep fryer or the potatoes were sliced to thick. It was just a greasy mess. The sandwich had 2 slices of over cooked corned beef and the there was way too much sauerkraut since there was no meat! Our server offered to bring me something else. When I said no thank you. She took it off the bill. That I am thankful for. I would go back to drink there. But not eat. I liked the atmosphere! Prices on menu were reasonable.

Duck confit sandwich was a special and was delicious. Reuben was tasty yet gristly. Beer was cold, fries (prepared like potato chips) were good.
Server was friendly and helpful in describing menu items and specials.
Whatever you do, DON’T get the pork belly….. it was small dried out fried chunks. Kinda gross. Definitely not worth the $7 charged!

We enjoyed a date night here earlier week. The menu is concise so it should be easy to order! Definitely recommend getting the corn bread!! Also, I almost never order a burger out because they are typically not seasoned to my liking but THIS burger hit the spot,
Possibly the best burger I’ve had at a restaurant in Columbia!

Great all-around little hole in the wall, fantastic service, great food, and really just an interesting place to eat. The atmosphere basically gave off a more redneck feeling, mounted animals, southern food, open air dining, and so much more. Well grilled juicy burgers, raw fries, even pork belly bits, not really much of a selection on the menu, but the foods they do have, it's taste well makes up for limited options. They even have desert.

The ambiance and food here are so good! I especially love to have a meal in the outdoor courtyard when the weather is mild and the sky is clear. It makes for some beautiful memories of gathering with friends. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is reliably delicious!

I cane in last week. The bartender, Skyler, was very friendly. He made me one of the best margaritas I have ever had! The food was delicious and the bartender had great suggestions. Cant wait to return and sit at the bar!

My friend and I went on yesterday. We traveled from Augusta and wanted to try new things. We found this online and chose it based on the reviews and menu.

First impression was that we walked in and stood at the hostess stand because the sign said wait to be seated. We stand there and a guy behind the bar looks at us. He does not acknowledge us. So we stand. Another lady waiting on a table heads to the bar and looks up to see us. She lets us know we can sit anywhere. We sit at the bar. The next two couples who walked in were acknowledged and greeted by the guy who would not open his mouth for us.

At this point I want to point out a few things. We were the only black couple in there. The next two couples who walked in were white. The guy who did not acknowledge us was white.

And while I ate, I was uncomfortable with the fact he was so blatant with ignoring us. Fortunately, the lady who did acknowledge us was our server and bartender. She gave us great recommendations. She was wonderful but because of him, I won't be back.
