The staff was super friendly. The restaurant was clean. We got the white philly cheese steak pizza and it was delicious. Look forward to trying their lasagna next.

Verys has been a Columbia institution for quite some time and I'd heard about it over and over again, but for some reason I'd never actually made it in to try it, so when a friend suggested it for dinner, I jumped on the opportunity. Let me say, I'm not going to pretend to be a cheese steak guy, I'm not from Philadelphia, I hate bell pepper, and I'm not huge on grilled onions. Others are welcome to judge me on this, but I got a cheese steak with grilled mushrooms. It was fantastic. Steak was flavorful, cheese melty, and bun somehow both toasted and soft in a really good way. I'm a big fan now and can't believe I'd slept on going here for so long. It's a bit of a destination for me, but I'll happily be back soon.

Picked up Philly sandwiches today. I hadn’t ordered from Very’s in ages just because I don’t live on that side of town, but I will be making a point of it from now on.

The Philly was great: tender steak with NO FAT whatsoever. This is huge for me. The onions & peppers were well cooked and tender, and they use great bread. It’s worth driving over there from Shandon/Rosewood area!

my mom and i both got the philly cheese steaks, the price was better than the other places that serve phillys. the shaved steak was seasoned, and not all fatty. i will also say the peppers and onions were actually cooked perfectly unlike most sandwiches around here. we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back very soon! 10/10 recommend.

This place was terrible, I got a takeaway order. The bread was an old wrinkled sub roll, and the spaghetti and lasagne were disgusting . Some funky tasting noodles, I had to spit out. I didn't see any ricotta, and the sausage was to over powering.

Best pizza we've had in awhile. Delicous desserts! We had their homemade ice cream and cheesecake. Great service all around! They were very thoughtful to our girls. We will be back.

I had a pizza for takeout. The pizza tasted clearly better than what you can get from any of the local chain restaurants. I love the authentic cooking. The restaurant looked really nice on the inside, I think next time I gotta sit down and eat.

The reviews were right! Best philly cheese steak I've had in ages. Service was swift and on top of everything. Plenty of parking available, and handicapped accessible. Loved it, will DEFINITELY be a return visitor.
