“This location has the best waitress and her name is Ari. I have had her twice now and she is so welcoming, friendly and so sweet. We look forward to seeing her again. “This place is great. We paid for upgrade packages, which was better than paying for additional perk items individually. Everything was good. The corn and chicken could use a bit more seasoning, but it was pretty good. The biggest knock on the place is being packed in super tight. You will be shoulder to shoulder with the person on either side of you. So, pray they are coughing, sneezing, or eat with their arms on the table. I had to take a chair out of the row just to get into my seat. Then I had to stand take my seat out of the row again to let someone in my party out to go to the restroom. So, having to physically remove a chair just to get up is very uncomfortable.“

“I have eaten here many times, with some food much better than others. Last evening I had the shrimp dinner. Awful!! The shrimp are smaller than a pencil in diameter but come to the table the size of golf ball diameter. All breading!! You can get better shrimp anywhere! Plus the server was below average. Extremely disappointed!“

“We have been here many, many times for hibachi or a quick sushi bite while at the mall…..and I have to give them a shout out after our lunch yesterday, especially during the holiday season when everyone is hustling and bustling around! I did not get the bartender’s name, but he really did an amazing job (happy, engaging, everything was on point…..down to making sure I had some of their delicious ginger sauce for our leftovers!), the food was beyond flavorful and fresh! And their lunch specials are an incredible deal and perfect for a holiday shopping refresh. We got their special roll lunch and a lunch bento box, shared all the things and still had enough to bring home for nibbles later on! They are fantastically consistent in service and flavor and I highly recommend!“

Kudos to the two employees on shift tonight. They got a Doordash for 10 pizzas, two families of six, and my online order all at once.

They kept their cool and kept the food prep area CLEAN the entire time they were making all the pizzas. There was no chaos or panic. They did not rush and skip on quality like every other pizza place does when they get slammed.

I only had to wait an extra 8 minutes from my estimated pick up time. Which I was more than okay with considering there were 20 pizzas ahead of me! Very professional and impressive.“

“Our family had the best experience at The Grumpy Monk at Broadway on the Beach! Dawson was excellent - we came back again two days later and requested his section…. He greeted us at our table with the same drinks we had the previous time. Wow. Now that is serving your customer! The food did not disappoint either. Fried pickle chips and the burgers and wings were amazing. We will definitely be back a third time!“

“Stopped by today after the movies. Food and service was great. Dylan was on his game and we will return for him for sure. One thing I Would add is when you have available tables in the bar please seat the half table by the back door last. Nobody should be sat there unless it’s a last resort. I get there is a rotation of servers and bar but I didn’t want to sit there and host had an attitude about it. Sorry to mess up the rotation but that is the worst seat. But again Dylan saved the day and we will be back for him.“
