I purchased blackberries and a big watermelon that was guaranteed to be perfect. When I cut the melon in anticipation of a delicious melon I was very disappointed to find a "bad melon". I returned to the product market and told them what I experienced and offered a picture of the fruit but without hesitation I was told to pick another melon and they were very apologetic. The second melon was delicious and the blackberries were sweet. I can highly recommend this place...
Abbott's has the best peaches, strawberries, and peach bread you can possibly buy. I am spoiled and can't eat peaches from anywhere else. We stop all the time when we are in SO. Last year we bought all the peach bread they had at the stand. When we got home we froze it and had it half the winter. Can't wait to get more this year. Warning that once you eat these peaches you won't want another kind. I am glad my son lives close to a Abbott stand.
My family stopped at Abbott's in search of those famous South Carolina peaches. We were not disappointed, and we also sampled their delicious freshly made peach ice cream. Had we any room left after all of that, we would have bought their fresh plums and many other local goodies on offer. They even had a well-stocked fireworks area and lots of friendly help. Watch out as you exit and park as the shop is fronting a well-travelled road which merges into the exiting ramp traffic...
