First time at Kingstide and it did not disappoint. The service was great, food was delicious! We had oysters which were tasty but small. My husband loved the Tuna and my spinach pasta with Lobster and mushrooms was fabulous!
I had their blackened grouper and the wood fired carrots. The food is delicious. One of the best pieces of fish I've had in a while. Carrots were smoky with the perfect amount of spicy heat. Paired perfectly with the Jax Chardonnay. The chocolate Kingstide crunch dessert and and a espresso martini made a perfect finish to an exceptional meal. Service was terrific.
We thought the portion sizes were small for the price. I had grouper, and the fish was delicious, but it was $48. The only accompaniment was grits.... I can make a lot of grits for $48.00 My wife had snapper, and again, the fish was very good - but it was also expensive and the succotash accompaniment was not as good as other, less-expensive places in the area. The wood fired kale salad was wilty and soggy - not exactly what the term “wood fired” invokes. Service was not spectacular-...
