“If I could give 10 stars, I would. Best fast food experience I have had in years. Prompt greeting at the menu. Friendly order read back. Special items correct when ordered. At the window, fast, friendly money and drink exchange. The cashier was absolutely delightful. The second window was quick and precise. The order was not only correct, but everything was hot and fresh. Overall, a great experience. This is how it should be done.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 Review – Sonic Drive-In, Darlington, SC Visited around 5 PM on a Friday, and I understand that’s a peak time—things were definitely busy. Stalls 1–8 were full, and while stalls 9 & 10 are marked for mobile pickup, the app wouldn’t recognize them. Stalls 11–14 were hit-or-miss (maybe two working), also full, and the drive-thru had a line. With my party of 3, we decided to sit at the picnic tables and checked in on the app using stall #15. It’s July in South Carolina, so please consider adding a fan out there—it’s hot. We waited 30 minutes before a team member finally came out and asked if we had ordered. I let her know I ordered via the app and checked in as stall 15. She asked for the details of the order and went back inside. She returned fairly quickly, which leads me to believe our food had probably been ready for 10–15 minutes. Our meals were room temperature, and our slushies and cream cooler were sadly melted by the time we got them. Was everything edible? Yes. The Big Dill Double Sonic Smasher was actually really good. But it’s frustrating to order ahead via the app, check in, and still wait 30 minutes before anyone acknowledges the order. We’ll give Sonic another shot, but I strongly encourage management to take a look at staffing levels and mobile order support—especially on peak times. Don’t cut corners where customer service is concerned.“
