First time in HHI and stumbled on the this should say lucked out and found fabulous place away from tourists location . Service was extremely personable , food selection excellent and food very good … will be back 👍👍👍
This was our first time at Driftwood and we were NOT disappointed! The food was fantastic! Everything we ate was so fresh and flavorful! Bonus- the views are beautiful 🤩 Driftwood is our new favorite place!

The Sportsman at Melrose offers amazing food and fresh fruit smoothies in a family-friendly atmosphere with cold AC, perfect for enjoying hot food and drinks on the island. The beautiful southern pub-style space features comfortable seating, a pool table, and plenty of parking, with great deals on kids' meals for under 12s. The location is beautiful and well appointed with a cool and laid back atmosphere. Visitors can pet some horses, play chess or darts, and enjoy the company. The food menu includes well-prepared, really good bar food like nachos with two types of cheese, tender and spicy wings, a surprisingly good Philly cheese steak, and a pizza sub. The food is made to order and was ready in five minutes. The full bar has a good beer selection at reasonable prices, and the drinks, including local bourbon and spiced rum, are highly recommended. The bathrooms are very nice and extremely clean. Overall, The Sportsman is a fantastic spot to relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and experience the island’s friendly vibe.
