Truly an awesome spot . Food is amazing. Service is fantastic atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Pet some horses if you want play some chess darts and enjoy company.

What a great addition to an amazing Island! The owners are fantastic. The location is beautiful and well appointed with an almost elegant yet charming atmosphere. The bathrooms are very nice and extremely clean. The owners have even created an interactive map of the island with ideal picture locations and historic sites.They have a pool table and a couple of dart boards. The food is your standard bar food but well thought out and prepared. We had the nachos which are made with 2 types of cheese and then toasted, the wings were tender & spicy and well cooked, the philly cheese steak was surprisingly good, the pizza sub is exactly what you would expect and that's not a bad thing. They have a wide selection of food choices and full bar. The beer selection is good and it's all reasonably priced for the island. I would highly recommend you come to Daufuskie Island and don't leave without stopping by here!

Loved the drinks offered! We came for the local distilled bourbon but ended up tasting the spiced rum too! Let’s just say I’ll be buying bottles of this stuff! This bar is a great lil spot to taste some amazing drinks and relax while watching the horses on the stables. I will definitely be back!

If you’re on Daufuskie Island, don’t miss The Sportsman at Melrose. This pub (located at the Melrose Equestrian Center) has a phenomenal vibe. Great food/drinks and a free pool table!? Say no more.. I’m in!

Bonus tip: You can buy a bag of treats from the bar to feed the horses if you’re interested. This activity was a hit with the family and the horses were sweet!

We didn't eat but there was a local couple that always ate there and raved about it. Great drinks and service. All of these places are very personable people.
