Our take out food was disappointing to say the least. The shrimp and grits were bland, as were the wings and our fries were cold. The hushpuppies were just ok. I felt sick a few hours later and my daughter woke in the middle of the night vomiting. Terrible experience and waste of money.

Cute little place with surprisingly good food. It really hit the spot after a morning of birding at Botany Bay. Cannot go wrong with the shrimp and grits! Very good service and a homey friendly style. Look forward to returning!

Best crab cakes I've ever had. I usually have bready and/or salty cakes- these were full of crabmeat- DEELISH. Great service and if you're into martinis- they know how to do them!

I love this place! They have awesome food, the best cheerwine BBQ sauce but if you go during peek hours there will be a long wait and noisy. I've eaten there 3 times in 6 weeks. ?

Overcooked shrimp. Crab cakes had tuna in them and all over priced. Wait staff and hostess are

Do not waste your time. Poor service. Out of many items on the menu. 20 minutes after ordering, we were told there were no grits for the grouper in one of our orders. Food came out lukewarm or cold, overcooked, dry, and poorly seasoned. Extremely overpriced for low quality food. Very disappointing. All 7 meals ordered for our party were a huge disappointment. Very upsetting to pay so much money and have such a terrible experience.

I really loved the food. The serving staff was very attentive. Wish I had taken a picture of my food before I demolished it.

Beautiful family home setting. Server was super attentive and food was delicious. Too bad my diet doesn't allow me the yummy desserts.

Enjoyed our meal. Had eaten there during our spring trip to Edisto and enjoyed enough that we revisited during our fall trip. Food is good, service friendly. Grits in the shrimp and grits were "runnier" than we prefer but taste was good. Seemed a bit pricier than in the spring, but what isn't?

Holy cats this place is good! I've eaten at nearly all the restaurants on, and near, Edisto Island and this one just moved to number 1. Not only was the food delicious but the nicest young wait staff answered all my silly northerner questions with patience. I had never heard of hash and rice and OMG was it good. The kind of yummy comfort food I dream of in my native state of Washington during our long, wet, gray seasons. In fact, I'm attempting to recreate it as I write this. No doubt it will not be even close and I'll have to return to Edisto. Oh, darn....

Worst. Experience. Ever. I have been to this place before and wanted to share with my boyfriend. It has been a little over a year since having a great experience here both with food and service--and a welcoming atmosphere. We sat at the bar for ease of service during a slow time. The bartender/server got our drinks and we ordered just a "fish sandwich"; her puzzled look and flip retort made me realize I should clarify a "flounder po-boy". Our bad. 3 feet away and 4 seconds later she turned from the register to ask again what we wanted. We clarified twice that we didn't want onions. Instead of a $20 piece of fish we got a $0 piece of fish skin that might have had an ounce or two of some fish scrap attached, "breaded" and deep fried. And onions. Many pieces scattered within the shredded lettuce mix and reeking. We politely asked if it had onions on it and she replied "I don't know, but if there are just flick (or pick) them off" and walked away. Um. Yeah. Wrong answer, friend. We aren't the type of people to make a scene about things (and no, the customer isn't always right) and so we left cash for what we had ordered and not eaten (0% of the sandwich) and left. As we were almost out of the place we heard one of her friends at the bar say "they just left". Yep, we did. And we will not go back nor recommend this to anyone as there is no excuse for a lack of attention simply bc you have a bar full of friends/coworkers hanging out. Also, find a better answer and maybe a nicer suggestion to an intolerance to onions than "just flick them off".

“Out of” almost half the offerings listed on the menu. Average food quality, poor presentation, bare minimum in service. On top of all that, a 3% “service fee” added to the overpriced bill. Would not recommend.

Very disappointing lunch with cold food and poor service. We arrived just after noon on a Saturday. After taking our drink orders and leaving menus, our server disappeared for about 10 minutes - not waiting other tables, but someplace back in the kitchen area. When he returned my wife ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy ($20) and I had the Philly Cheese Steak ($14). Both came with crinkle cut fries that were probably the frozen kind and cooked in the oven, served luke warm. The Po Boy shrimp also seemed to be the same as we get from the Publix frozen section - probably SeaPak. Again served at just above room temperature. My Cheese Steak was the best of the lot - fairly hot and tasty. On the positive side the inside of the restaurant was lovely - decorated with many antiques and had a cozy warm overall feeling.
