After a day out on the water, we stopped for lunch. We ordered a few items from the menu, and while it wasn't anything special, everything came out hot and really hit the spot.

We took our family and wanted to try it out. We paid about $140, the kids meals doesn't come with dipping sauce for the tenders. The chips and burgers are burnt. The food overall was just dried out and over priced. Not a good place. Servers very slow. I wouldn't recommend this place.

A nice place to grab some lunch after a morning on the beach! The fish tacos were excellent! We also had fried pickles which were really good. The staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for service. Reasonable prices I felt for what we got. Would definitely eat there again!

We rang the bell for service to be seated and waiting. No one came to help us. Two different waitresses looked our way but either failed to notice us or figured it wasn't their job to ask someone to come seat us.
I would say the service started off badly but honestly it never started at all. We decided to go have dinner elsewhere.
Hoping this review will keep anyone else from the experience of being ignored. I understand most places can't find employees to be fully staff and I'm sure that is the reason for our experience here.
The place looked like a great place from the outside looking in.

No A/C! All out door seating. They charge $1.49 for bottled water, no tap water. Limited bar food menu. No bad but not great. All sandwiches are served with chips and over charged for fries or rings. Lastly, they will try to get you to pay tips with taxes included when a server only pay taxes on gross sales. Total dishonesty to the customer. Won’t be back

We think it is the best place to eat on the island. Great hush puppies and fish & chips.

I really hate writing negative reviews. And I’m also a principled person and don’t quite understand how this business has so many stars. It was our first time here and I accidentally walked through the back door (we drove in from the SouthEast side and didn’t see the entrance) and a waitress immediately said while pointing her finger to the other side of the restaurant, “Go stand in line if you need a table.” No smile or any hint of hospitality. They were busy but not overwhelmingly so. My husband walked in separately and the same thing happened to him.
Fun to note, I walked by wall art that read “hippies use the back door.”

We were seated quickly and our waitress at times was either very short with us or very happy and helpful. A star for the helpfulness. They brought the kids’s orders first which was (and always is) a win. Another star. Side note, and of course they didn’t know this, we were celebrating our friend’s birthday. Said friend ordered fried shrimp and fries. Easy peasy. They brought her fried shrimp and shack chips. She decided not to say anything as both waitresses seemed a little bothered when we’d ask for anything. Minutes later a young food runner brought over fried shrimp and fries and just stood there. Our friend of course thought it was for her and said “oh good, that’s what I actually ordered.” He said “Oh wait, did you already eat your order?” She responded with “yes, I had some..” (I think she had eaten 1 or 2 fried shrimp) to which he responded, “Oh. Well then I can’t give this to you if you already ate some of yours.” Without another word he walked away and my husband watched as he told the waitress what had happened and saw the food THROWN AWAY in the trash. I mean
honestly?!? That’s what pushed me to write this review
you’d rather WASTE food than give it to a nice, non-confrontational customer?

Fyi, they’re unlimited coffee
they had no coffee. Grilled mahi mahi seemed frozen, was tough and lacked flavor. Waste of $8 in my book.
Salad was veeeeeeery basic. But edible.
Also be expected to pay 20% gratuity if there are 6 people in your group. There were 4 adults, two kids and 1 toddler. We had two checks. They charged us even though one of the adults didn’t eat. Apparently they also charge 15% gratuity for take out (where almost no service is given other than a human hand giving you a bag of food).
There was also an issue with our friend’s son’s juice and the waitress told her she’d take it off the check. She forgot but my friend didn’t want to confront her about it. That would be awkward.

It wasn’t a horrible experience, we can have fun no matter where we are, but we have no plans to return. The vibe was nice and they had a ton of fans going to keep us cool in 90 degree heat.

If you order water it comes bottled.
French fries were pretty good.

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu.

$114 for 4 people is NOT worth it for the quality or service , could’ve went somewhere else and spent the same amount for better. 1st, we were told there was no tables inside so we had to do outside (wasn’t even offered to wait for inside) but everyone immediately after us was told they could sit inside and the hostess was rude and nonchalant to everyone. 2nd, our server was dull and it kinda seemed like she was rushing us and didn’t want to be at work . 3rd, the burger and chips were good but the fish and fried pickles were EXTREMELY greasy to where you will definitely get sick. (also the alcohol is just straight juice so save your money there too)

would recommend spending your money elsewhere that’s worth it .

Every summer we go to Edisto Beach and before we even go to the realtors office to get the key to our rental house we stop here. The shrimp and chips are just chefs kiss. The batter they use to deep fry their shrimp and onion rings is not too powerful or too weak in flavor, it’s perfect. The onion rings are also huge and delicious. It is a little pricey though, so beware. Highly recommend though!
