Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised it was as good as it was. Food was hot, fresh, and fast. Will definitely be going back!!!

My husband collapsed at this restaurant and I cannot tell you how wonderful everyone was. The staff called Elgin fire rescue and the owner even came to my home to pick me up and bring me to my husband. I cannot say more! Thank you Mai and Elgin Fire Rescue!!!

If culinary heaven had a drive-thru window, it would look exactly like Egg Roll Express in Elgin, South Carolina.

Let me tell you—this place isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a sacred temple where egg rolls are crispier than your mom’s air fryer ever dreamed, and the General Tso's could convince a vegan to reconsider life choices. I came in hungry and left spiritually fulfilled, emotionally uplifted, and slightly addicted to their mama noodle soup (which, at $4.85, is basically a warm hug from a grandmother who knows kung fu).

The staff? Friendlier than a Labrador with a belly full of bacon. The prices? So reasonable I had to double-check I wasn’t in a parallel universe where inflation reversed itself. Cho Cho Beef Stick for $1.90? Are you kidding me? That’s not a side dish—that’s a public service.

I ordered the Black Pepper Chicken and it slapped so hard I briefly blacked out and woke up speaking fluent soy sauce. The shrimp & lobster sauce? That dish should come with a warning label: May cause uncontrollable happy dancing.

If you haven’t eaten here yet, what are you doing with your life? Fix it. Drive, sprint, teleport—whatever it takes. Egg Roll Express doesn’t just serve food. They serve destiny. Wrapped in takeout boxes. With extra Yum Yum sauce.

I would sell my left sandal to eat here again.

Hidden gem 💎 ✨️ 💖! Having moved from Columbia, SC 10 years ago, I must say without a doubt 🙋‍♀️ this IS one of a handful of things I miss about that state. I have yet to find an egg roll that comes close to those at Egg Roll Express. Whether hot 🔥 or cold 🥶 those dang egg rolls are phenomenal and I strive to find a replacement. Smh, glad I left the state, sorry there's no Egg Roll Express where I am!
