Rip-off. Not worth $40. We threw it away. Service for to-go is lacking. Its a BBQ joint and they dont offer BBQ sauce when you place an order through the drive-thru. He handed us the bag and was already turned away before we could pull the bag inside the car window. There wasn't a dinner rush, no one was there except for the employees; flat out rude service.
Also, the Mo-Bill sandwich was a joke; its pulled pork not brisket. Dont waste your time on the apple jalapeño slaw, no jalapeños were found in it, no spice, and it made everything in the bag sticky. Pulled pork was flavorless even in its own juices. Lastly, anything fried is in old oil and soggy.
There are better places. Spend $40 elsewhere.

This is almost a staple for us! We have tried so many different things on the menu and have never been disappointed! The chicken tacos and their sweet potato casserole are absolutely delicious!! We love Holt Bros!!

Found this place on Google while driving from Washington, DC to Miami, and I’m so glad I stopped. This is a fantastic BBQ spot. I ordered the two-meat platter with chopped brisket and ribs, plus collards and mac & cheese. At the manager’s recommendation, I also added the wings—four dry-rubbed and four BBQ—and that was one of the best decisions of the trip.
The standouts were hands-down the chopped brisket, collards, and wings. The brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, the wings were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the collards were outstanding.
On top of the amazing food, the service was top-tier. Cayden and the manager were welcoming, knowledgeable, and made sure I was taken care of from start to finish—true Southern hospitality at its best.
If you’re passing through, this place is absolutely worth the stop!!

Please just go somewhere else. I was not impressed but was so hungry. Cashier was scratching her scalp the whole time I ordered, the kitchen looked absolutely filthy on the prep table top, shelves and floor, and the brisket was just a pile of greasy slop. They were keeping foil hotel pans in the food window which I can only assume was holding the food they served. This is not a proper hot holding area. I’m just disgusted I was hungry enough to eat. I really could not taste that it was brisket and it definitely didn’t look like it. See picture. It was also freezing cold. Empty dining room. Don’t go here!

My husband and I just love Holt BBQ. Their brisket is amazing! Taco’s are so goo! And their chicken salad is wonderful. You really get your money’s worth. We eat here at least once a week. Wonderful food, wonderful people
The food was blah, no flavor hard chewy, and a lot of fat. I expect a lot more for the price. They charge.... And the service was truly lackluster, it almost scared me away initially. Thank God I don't come here often. Cuz, I will never return

I wasn't going to leave a review but decided I should. I and my husband had the 2 meat combo. I was excited to eat brisket mostly. The brisket I got looked more like pulled pork and the flavor was inedible. I also got the ribs. However, I had to wipe off the sauce to eat a small bite. My sides were fries and apple jalapeño coleslaw. Opened, tasted, and closed right back. Fries were very greasy. My husband got pulled pork and brisket. You could not tell which is which. Sides were mac n cheese and beans. My son got the burger. Only thing eaten from any of us. He ate the bacon and hush puppies. Everything else we literally left on the table, walked away hungry, and a lot less money. It will not be a place we revisit. As a person who grew up going to a BBQ place every weekend I was so excited to finally try and hopefully find a life long spot. I would rather take the drive to Marion next time and eat Shulers.
