Palmetto Bakeshop Reviews
This bakery is truly something special. From the very first bite, their food feels intentional, soulful, and made with love. Their almond croissants, in particular, hold a place in my heart—they were my grandmother’s favorite. She passed away almost a year ago, and somehow, tasting them here brings her back to me in the most beautiful way. It’s rare for food to evoke that kind of memory and comfort, and that alone makes this place extraordinary.

Everything I got was delicious! So light and flaky! The creme horn and maple pecan danish were my favorite! Definitely going back! Staff was so friendly and helpful!
Just tried them out today for the first time and we didn’t have a single thing that wasn’t incredible!!! Not only are the people working very nice, but everything is absolutely out of this world!! My only complaint, is that they aren’t open 24/7 😆

Palmetto Bakeshop is a charming bakery in Florence, known for its delicious pastries. Customers praise the well-priced and flaky pastries, including the pistachio croissant, carrot cake croissant, and strawberry shortcake danish, which features a piece of shortcake inside. The strawberry shortcake danish is considered a highlight, offering a classic Danish with tasty fillings and toppings. The almond croissant is also highly recommended, noted for being possibly the best and largest around, with generous frangipane. Many describe the baked goods as very high end, carefully crafted, and attractively presented. The staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The pastries stay fresh and flavorful even the next day when heated, making it a great value. Though some days may see limited inventory, customers still find the macarons and other options very good and worth returning for. The shop is a small, tucked-away local spot that many say is definitely worth visiting for its incredible pastries and friendly service.
