It's worth the drive off the interstate 77. The place is located 12 minutes from Rock Hill. The seating capacity is 61. So, is a smaller place. As the name indicates the food is local. What makes this place special is the team. Everyone works well together. They all pitch in to get things done. And the culture is very positive. Happy hands make happy customers. You'll enjoy the experience and the food. I did.

Local Dish is our go to. Always good. Always reliable. I don't normally order chicken out because so many restaurants tend to dry it out. At least in my experience. Taylor at the bar guaranteed me it was juicy and she did not let me down. Juicy and flavorful with a risotto that was cooked just right and had just the right amount of basil. I cleaned that plate!

My favorite thing to eat at this place is the shrimp po’boy. It has large shrimp, homemade tartar sauce and the bread is great. I also ordered the fried green beans, and I am never disappointed. Great place to meet friends and family!

My wife and i have been to the Local Dish four times for dinner over the past two months always sitting at the bar. Every meal left us feeling we were glad we visited and looking forward to the next time. John is great as is his staff. The food is consistently excellent. We have had three soups- all obviously homemade and delicious, the pork chop twice- cooked and seasoned perfectly and one of the best, the seafood pasta-again fresh, delicious and ample. We have also had sandwiches and salads as well as their donut bread pudding. Meal prices are more than reasonable as are the wine and cocktails. Our new go to spot for excellent quality and tasting food, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Hands down the best, local, homemade food filled with love and smiles. Great staff. Love the honest vibe.....if you go local...go here. The Chicken Pot Pie is divine.

A very special place that's always impressive. The menu changes periodically, the food is unique and always delicious, the Service is excellent. Great location in downtown Fort Mill. Just FYI - It can get a little noisy, but That's OK with me. A+++

...once again!....as usual, perfect..(well 9.9- 1- grit cake was not warm, although our wonderful server, offered to replace, although we did not accept..they were huge, so not a big deal)...1st off, we felt like we hit the jackpot!, usually a wait to get it, we happened by on Sat just as the opened, and looked at each other, and almost ran inside!...lol, Because of the usual wait, we were thinking of going elsewhere, .... Sat promptly, drinks quick, food is always wonderful... We had the grit cakes as an app, awesome (except very minor glitch noted above), she had chicken pot pie...fabulous, I went against my norm, and got the turkey sandwich, with fried spinach.....that was the best damn turkey sandwich I've had in 54 years!.... Big thick turkey, garlic aioli, thick bacon on wheat...yummmmmy, fried spinach was super good also. Great people, great place, great food, normal pricing.....always a pleasure, glad they have been a part of our community for a long time.

Would not return. The restaurant is cute enough, table was rocking back and forth but I appreciated the seat near the window. The waitress was nice. Took drink orders while my husband was in the bathroom but never came back to take his drink order when he returned. My water tasted like cleaning products, detergent/bleach and I asked for a new one and the new one was fine. Turkey sandwich was a dry disappointment. The description sounded delicious (oven roasted turkey, arugula, aioli), but what I got I could have done at home for less than 1/2 the $10 price. The coleslaw was inedible. Mayo overpowered and drowned the entire bowl but because my sandwich was dry I ended up using the coleslaw as a condiment which worked. The pickle was fine. My son said his pasta had too much butter. My other son said his chicken was good but greasy. I had a view of the kitchen from our table and could see the waitress putting what looked like a bowl on and off her head but that could have been a hat. I want to give the benefit of the doubt with that but trying on hats (or bowls) and tossing hair around seems ridiculous in a kitchen. Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this place but I will not return. The waitress did ask if we enjoyed everything and we just said it was just ok and I commented on the soupy coleslaw.

Small place, but boy the food was good. Had to wait at the bar, bar tender was very attentive and nice. Once seated waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive and just a pleasant person. Informative about the menu. I had the pork chop, was delicious along with the mash potatoes and the stewed green beans. By the time we finished, I was too full for desert. We will definitely be back. We got Brussels sprouts…phenomenal. Yummy

This was my second time here, again, they did not disappoint at all. I had the special tonight, not sure how long it will be there or if it's already gone but it was a balsamic glaze roasted venison with Brussels sprouts, mushroom and rice. The atmosphere The service The food The drinks 10/10
