They seem to vent the fryer into the bar so you'll go home stinking like rotten grease, at least on a Friday. And they seem to run out of Tito's on a regular basis, how is that possible? If you are sitting at the bar they'll offer you a choice of another vodka; if you aren't sitting at the bar they'll just pour Absolut without telling you, then go out for a smoke break. The place will be busy on the weekends purely because of supply and demand in . The live music is good and the place could be fun but a lot of things need to be improved. Maybe if they changed things up and started offering tequila and tacos...just saying.

We went at the spur of the moment to try a new place. The food was AMAZING and our server Grace was perfect!! Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a date night, this is the place!!!

Try the battered cod sandwich! Real cod! Not some "similar" fish like pangasius. I always sit at the bar so I can't speak for the table service, but fyi for some other reviewers - it's an ENGLISH Pub.

Decent English themed restaurant/bar. As far as restaurants go this is my type of place. Made to look like an old pub and nestled in the muddle of Baxter village six pence is a nice little spot. It's a small chain with a couple other locations. The fish and chips are generally what I get when I go there which is a battered cod and round fried potatoes. The "chips" aren't what Americans would consider chips more of a round French fry. Having been here on multiple occasions with multiple people I haven't had any complaints. I've also bellied up to the bar on occasion and have been impressed with their drink and beer list. Reasonably priced and not too fancy not a bad place to hit on the fly if you're in the area.

Great pub, beer selection was solid and the fried pickles were excellent. Awesome service from the staff as well!

A friend of mine was passing through the South Charlotte/Fort Mill area and wanted to catch up. We were going to go to The Dirty Martini, but stumbled upon Six Pence in the process. What a great find! The ambience, food, drinks and service were all such a pleasant experience. I had the Shepard's pie and side salad. My friend had the beer battered tenders and "chips". My friend enjoyed blue moon while I opted for Crown Apple Washington apple martinis. I found out the next day that they have rooftop seating. And boy do I love a good rooftop. I recently relocated to the Fort Mill area and I can totally see me becoming a regular.

Was my go to spot...but they got rid of Moscow Mule cups! I like the food and the pub feel, but the lights on the bar make it impossible to see anything. Not as good a place as it used to be.

Been here twice on my way to the airport from Columbia. Great food, atmosphere & service! Makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood to enjoy the camaraderie that must go on here as a regular! I've gotten the broiled portabello & the fried pickles. Listen, you THINK you get an appetizer of fried pickles elsewhere but this place brings you the whole JAR of fried pickles!

Looking for a place to eat on my road trip home from PA (to FL). Found this pub. Being an Irish Pub, they had my drink of choice - Guinness. Ate some bar food - my favorite thing - Wings. They were okay. Hot is never 'really" hot. Had a side of fries (chips). Actually liked those. Seeing as I was just passing through, proably won't be back, but I can see this place as a place for regulars.

Great service and delicious food just about sums up this restaurant. Six Pence is a British Pub. It has of course a British menu to choose from but has some southern options as well. It's located on Market Street in Fort Mill, South Carolina. It's in a really nice expensive area with an "uppity vibe". So, if you come here expect to spend some money. I spent $41 here and I was by myself. But, I enjoyed it. They offer a full bar with several draft beers, martinis, wines and bottle beers. They have daily specials such as the following: Friday's $7 beer flights Saturdays $5 house margaritas Sunday's $5 Bloody Marys Events: They have live music Thursday to Saturdays according to their website. It seems this British Pub attracts locals and tourists alike. Six Pence has an inviting atmosphere with peaceful ambience along with plenty of trees outside for shade in case you want to sit outside. It looks like most locals sit at the bar if you ask me. As I walked in, the bar was full on a Friday evening. So, I decided to sit outside as they do have outdoor seating Menu items ordered: shepherds pie, salad with ranch dressing and French onion soup. All 3 were delicious dishes. The best was the French onion soup. The Shepherds pie was great too as it was made of melted cheese, mashed potatoes, beef stew (which was at the bottom of the bowl), green peas, carrots and etc. History: Six Pence was established in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. This Six Pence opened in 2006 in beautiful Baxter Town Center. I had no problem in finding a parking place which was across the street behind other shops and businesses. Features: It has outdoor seating, inside dining room, patio, a rooftop terrace. It's a comfortable British Pub along with a bar of course. On Scene: My waitress really took care of me. She had a great attitude and made my dining experience very pleasant. She didn't mind refills and other items that I asked for. Final Thoughts: Well I enjoyed my dining experience at this British Pub and would return. Before coming by, I recommend visiting their website and calling ahead for specials and menu items as some of their menu items like soups change daily.

My wife and I recently moved into the Fort Mill area and gave Six Pence Pub a try for the first time yesterday evening. The food came out quick and was steaming hot, our server was up beat and informative, and over all we received wonderful customer service. Very welcoming and warm environment! We will be coming back soon.

Me and a date stopped by for a late lunch on Thursday 5/10 at About 3:00 pm. The patio was nice and quiet and shady. Dennis was our server and he was ok except it took forever for him to close out the check. We ordered the French onion soup and Fish n Chips. The soup tasted good but was only warm when served and the onions were stringy? The Fish n Chips were not served with traditional malt vinegar and the portions were extremely small given the price. No value for your money. The fish had a good taste but looked like it came straight out of the Gorton's frozen fish box. Not what we were expecting for a British Pub. The patio earns two stars.

Great pub to get English style Fish and chips. Good service and great prices. An excellent range of beers.

On a rainy day in Ft. Mill, what could be better than a British Pub? Even though I am not a beer drinker, my college buddy visiting from Kansas did us proud with the suds. He also chomped down on some fish and chips, while I went for a pretty basic chef salad. It impressed me that this pub offered both traditional fare as well as a number of lighter dishes. There was a very light Monday lunch crowd, which made the noise level almost nothing. Service was excellent. I thought the price was a bit inflated for a lunch for two, coming in at over $50 with the gratuity. The chef salad should have been in the ten dollar range, instead of over $14. The iced tea should not have exceeded $2.00, but it was $2.75. This is why I am giving this a four star review and not a five star one. Otherwise, it was a fine experience inside of Baxter Village. Cheerio.
