Delicious BBQ in a relaxed, sit-down setting! It has a touch more polish than some of the beloved ‘hole in the wall’ BBQ spots, but it’s still just as comfortable—perfect for date night or a casual lunch with friends. We started with the edamame and BBQ egg rolls (both so good!), the adults each tried a different platter, and the kids loved their meals. The green beans are a standout side, and the hush puppies are always a treat. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Saw it was part of DDD, it was 6pm on a Saturday and got right in and sat right down. we both got the Improper Plate. It was only $16 a plate, and we had leftovers to take home, of course we don’t eat much these days. The hushpuppies were kind of dry but the pork and spicy green beans are excellent! Get the queen bee sauce. Yum! We’ll be back!

Had a wonderful dinner here. It’s great to see how they’ve kept much of the original character of the building. Large portions and reasonable prices. Our server was knowledgeable and made menu suggestions. Will have to come back for the desserts.

Brisket was amazing along with ribs and wings. BTW thanks to Amanda she was very friendly and knowledgeable
Just went in for lunch. Sat at the bar for over 5 minutes - no one said a word to me. Got up and walked right back out. They weren’t even busy. Not sure how this place is in business.

It was a fun place to visit. The food, though not my personal preference of barbecue on cole slaw, was actually pretty good. The fries were good and crunchy. The staff was awesome. The venue was fun. I'd recommend a trip here.

We typically love this place, but went tonight and were sat for over 15 minutes, watched 4 tables that came in after us be served, and ended up leaving after never being acknowledged. I guess we didn’t look as uppity as the other folks they took preference to serve so we took our business elsewhere. They weren’t even busy.

We started with the Pork Rolls and a salad with a vinaigrette (amazing flavor). Unfortunately I didn't snap a photo of either. But, they were Excellent. Next I had the Improper Plater with Chicken and Pork. They smoke flavor of the meat what perfect, it was so moist and tender. I was able to taste the Brisket from another person in our party's order. That to just melted in my mouth. The service was on top notch. You have 6 choices on sauces (on the table). Personal favorites were the Hosin Hot, Tong Asian and Honey BBQ. They even gave us containers of sauce (already filled) for our leftovers. Portion sizes were generous. The only downside is the parking in the rear. You'll have to walk around to the front as I don't believe there was a public entrance in the back. Other than that truly a phenomenal place and I just can't recommend it enough. Wish I didn't live almost 13 hours away.

Came here for the first time for Father's Day and it was just ok. Way higher on pricing than most of the BBQ places in the Charlotte area. $19 for a 2 meat (more for brisket) platter of pork and chicken? $1.50 up charge for a premium side when the price difference in sides is only $1? Forcing a $4 upcharge for a kids meal when you have an adult who isn't able to eat much. The baked Mac skillet was ok but $15 with pork added. It's a tiny amount of pork compared to the amount my wife got on the 1 meat platter for $16. The salt and vinegar chips were not fried all the way. Just simply not worth the price. I've had better even at Jim and Nick's.
The waiter was friendly and did a good job. The restaurant itself is nice and inviting. It's just unfortunate it's overpriced mid level BBQ
