We stopped into The Improper Pig in Fort Mill for lunch and really enjoyed it. I had a salad with chicken and my wife had chicken with spicy green beans. Everything was delicious and the chicken was perfectly juicy. My wife's portion was huge, she couldn't even finish it, so you're definitely getting your money's worth.
One thing that stood out was the six sauces they have at each table. They're all unique and all delicious, which is a nice touch that lets you mix things up throughout your meal. We will definitely be back as we want to work our way through more of their menu. Great spot for lunch in Fort Mill.

multiple stalls that are shared with the brewery next door. You’re gonna be visiting the bathrooms if you have the spicy green beans 🫡

The food was good. The service was great! Jenny did a terrific job juggling tables and helped the busboy to clean one or two! Never missed a refill or a chance to make sure everything was great! Will definitely return!

I've been to many dozens of BBQ restaurants from St. Louis to KC. If this isn't the best BBQ in the USA, then whatever people say, could only equal this perfection at best. Personally, I don't think there is an equal. I got the charcuterie. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, andouille sausage, slaw, homemade kettle s&v chips, and hush puppies. All are the best I have ever had. It was a heap of phenomenal food, in a beautiful historical building. The service was amazing and friendly. Top notch in every way! I didn't even use the sauces but I tried them alone. The banana pudding was also miraculous. Insane value, especially for anything I have ever seen.

$5 up charge to an already $20 meat plate which came to $30. Brisket was fatty and dry. Also they changed their bbq sauce and now every thing contains fish sauce . Lunch for 2 people cost $70 without tip! Very expensive and not worth the money.
Great food

Food was tasty. Loved that they had multiple sauces to choose from. I like South Carolina and Eastern NC, my wife likes honey bbq and we could each have what we wanted. Also, had some unique sauces. Amanda our server was on it. Definitely will come back. Great food, service and atmosphere. 5 stars.

Enjoyed eating dinner at The Improper Pig; the EDAMAME, SWEET POTATO FRIES, and NO PIG SANDWICH (A marinated portobello mushroom cap, grilled & topped with roasted red peppers, pickled onions, smoked tomatoes, mixed greens, goat cheese, & a drizzle of pesto) were all very delicious.

Everything was magically delicious and I mean EVERYTHING. Down to the hush puppies (I don't even eat them)

Nice friendly BBQ joint that has been gradually expanding to 3 locations. And the prices seems very affordable!
$19 Improper Platter...choice of 2 smoked meats and 2 house sides...that's awesome deal! Highly recommend the smoked pork ribs which are are fall off the bone tender, meaty, and with gorgeous and lovely dry rub and bbq glaze, so good! They need no BBQ sauce!
The beef brisket(extra $5) slices are thick, smokey, beefy, and so beautiful. Very good, but a bit on the dry side. No worries, just add one of the many BBQ sauces, all lovely and special in their own ways.
The house slaw is nice and light with an Asian inspired dressing. The cheese jalepeno grits were smooth and flavorful. Also came with nice pickled onions and a hot crispy hush puppy.

The only critique would be the baked beans and mac and cheese could use a little improvement

While waiting for a flight out of Charlotte, we made a brief trip into South Carolina. This was the perfect stop for lunch! The BBQ sandwiches and potato chips were outstanding. The service was great. I would definitely go back.

They were amazing they have great service and barbecue. They are also priced very well for the type of food they are making along with the high quality homemade/cooked food. Truly all around a amazing experience that left nothing to be desired.
