Restaurant was very dark inside. Most of my party ended up using our phone flashlights to review the menu. Food and service however were excellent.

We love going here for any occasion. Very good food, service is excellent, and has a deck you can eat on outside. So, inside and outside eating areas, I never have had a bad experience going here. Truly recommend at least trying it. My family loves it..

Yall! One of the worst experience I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant! We did have a party of nine, so we knew we had to wait for tables. Which was fine with us! The next thing, you know, we see groups of four to groups of eight being seated before us. After waiting for 40mins we told we would split up to make it easier. By this point tables had started clearing out. We ended up seating our selves. Cleaned our own table and still had to ask for chips. My husband is a very good tipper. You keep his drink full he will be happy and take care of you. My husband had to get up every time and walk to the bar to get a new drink And then ended up having to ask for chips multiple times. The chips came. They were stale. At this point, you would think they would try to redeem themselves a little. Didn’t at all! Food starts slowly coming out. The child got her food last. Ended up not eating it because by that point was filled up on chips and drink. I finally got my food which was 4 shrimp, rice and cheese. For nine dollars! It was cold had to send it back for it to be warmed up in the microwave. And again at this point they had a dinner rush, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but most of the restaurant is cleared out… we get our food, they never checked on us again! We asked for our checks, then they bring us a dessert and say sorry! My husband has never not left a tip but this was ridiculous! I’ve ordered food from this place multiple times for lunch to go. Not once do these people speak to you when you walk in the door. But this night done me and never eating here again.

Decided to try based on reviews and online menu. HUGE disappointment. They didn’t have half the stuff we tried to order. Even the dishes we did order were missing things from the description. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre at best. And the bill for 3 people was over $100. Never again.

Usually dining in, the food is great. Ordered togo and they just threw everything together. Ordered the sampler and the wingsauce was all over the quesadilla, the quesadilla was soggy, the nachos were soggy. The shrimp was overcooked. 70$ and I would have been better off ordering McDonald's.
Was confused why we got chips without salsa at first then Had a hard time understanding the server telling us the salsa bar was behind us… not a big deal, salsa was good once we found it lol… the margaritas were exceptionally terrible for a Mexican restaurant… had to force ourselves to drink them ( lime, mango habanero) food itself was delicious for the first 3 minutes it was on the table then it got cold very fast as it was served on an ice cold dish… if it was served on hot plates it would’ve been much better and I probably would’ve eaten more… overall not a bad experience by any means just needs some fine tuning and it can be a hit for Fountian inn. I’ll be back regardless.

Grabbed takeout here a few times. Nice local Mexican spot with good food and service. Has a small patio area if you would like to sit outside. The California Fajitas and Chorizo Queso are our favorites.

I've lived in Greenville area 5 years and couldn't find what I thought was good Mexican food. Visited El Patron last Thursday for lunch and it was the best I've had in the area. Friendly good service, too. Good value. I'll go back.
