We found this place when we travel back from FL to PA. We brought some shrimps and flounder, they are so fresh and tasty. We are regret that we didn't buy more. Well, have to visit the area again.
My wife and I spent a few days in Myrtle Beach last week. We were on a search for fresh shrimp and the MB locals tried to steer us the local seafood markets, but I was looking for a place to buy the very freshest shrimp possible. After a lengthy Google search for "fresh off the boat shrimp" we discovered Independent Seafood in Georgetown. It meant we'd have to travel 30 miles out of the way of our intended route back to Georgia, but I AM SO GLAD WE DID! We drove right up to
South Carolina shrimp are the best in the world. Independent Seafood is the best place in South Carolina to buy shrimp, therefore Independent Seafood is the best shrimp store in the world. As a bonus the staff is super helpful, polite and friendly.
