The Independent in Georgetown is a visually stunning restaurant with a festive and energetic atmosphere. Known for its amazing southern-influenced seafood dishes, each prepared with love and passion, it features highlights such as the shrimp and grits. The hummingbird cake remains a must-try. The food is outstanding and delicious, with fantastic dishes like the cornbread and miso honey butter and the rad snapper. The cocktails are very tasty and the drinks are excellent. The service staff is fabulous and makes guests feel special, providing a wonderful dining experience. The ambience is perfect and the level was mostly quiet, allowing for easy conversation. The Independent is highly recommended for both locals and visitors, making it a necessary stop in Georgetown.
