I recently moved to town from the west coast and had been missing my usual family restaurant that I used to patronize often, especially for a good, hot breakfast on a weekend morning. I was not disappointed at Alex's. Solid food, great service, friendly atmosphere, clean restaurant. Nothing really stood out as different or special about the food. I love Alex’s and am so glad this establishment is still running! Best “diner style” breakfast I’ve had in years. This is a real local Charleston monument. My pecan pancakes were delicious. My son loved his cheeseburger.
Menu on line needs to be updated with prices.big difference in restaurant.bacon,ham and saus.on smaller side,eggs and grits were ok but for 17.00,meats could have been larger.biscuit was very good.ill go back just for dat.
