I visited Captain D’s in Goose Creek this past Tuesday and had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered the $5.99 fish and shrimp meal, and my daughter got the kids' shrimp meal. Within 20 minutes of eating, she started experiencing severe stomach and side pain, and spent the next two hours going in and out of the restroom — mostly in.

The shrimp was awful, and the fish neither looked nor smelled like fish. I used to love the hush puppies here, but this time they were rock hard and burnt. Before this visit, I hadn't eaten here in over six months — and now I remember why. Every time I drive by, the parking lot is empty. After this experience, it all makes sense.

Captain D's used to be my go-to spot for fish, but after this visit? Never again. I called the next day and was lucky the General Manager was there. I explained the situation, and he asked me to call back with the receipt number so a check could be mailed to me. He also mentioned that they recently switched to a new type of fish — which explains the different taste, but does not excuse the quality of the shrimp or hush puppies.

This visit was extremely disappointing and concerning, especially considering how sick my daughter became. I give this place a negative 10. I will not be returning.

This location just does NOT provide good service not food. Hubby just picked up a 3-pc meal. Okra was hood but fish and potato was uneatable - they both looked like they were 3 days old! The potato was actually discolored. . .

I will never come back to this one again. The young girl at the window was nice. But the food wasn't good. My lettuce was brown and my lobster rolls wasn't all that.

No ice and the soda warm as shit coming out the fountain. Floor slippery when you’re walking to the tables no signs saying watch your step either.

while waiting for my food one of the employees kept yelling about her replacement was late. finally got my food and had to go back in to get the food she missed. the food is the worst I have ever tasted from captain d .the young lady at the counter was the only good part of my visit and after putting up with the one in the back deserves a raise.

DON’T GET THE CORN ON YOUR MAIL! It was burnt. It looked like it had been sitting in water that was brown and tasted really nasty. My husband said the okra was not any good either all the. Batter was off and it was burnt and overcooked. I tried calling the manager and no one would answer so now I’m calling corporate.

I just left this location and got the seafood trio for myself and the seafood trio deluxe for my daughter. I didn’t have any crab cakes in my box and I believe she was shorted as well because there was only one in hers.
