St James Place Grille

We drove by St. James Place today. There was a sign on the door that stated “ we are permanently closed. Thanks for all the good times.” We will really miss this restaurant! Good food, reasonable prices, outdoor patio. So sorry to see a decent non chain restaurant close its door.

I have always enjoyed bringing friends to this restaurant. Food is always amazing as well as the service. And the fact that they have outdoor dining is a major plus

This place had pretty good comfort food. However, this is not a good place to eat if you are a single person dining. I was refused a table even though there were tables open and was told I had to sit at the bar with all the To Go bags in my face. I asked for a manager and was ignored

Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. Parking can be a little difficult during peak meal times, but there is overflow at the end of the building.

To go order taken promptly and it was correct.Salads with house dressing were good although very skimpy on the toppings. We refrigerated one salad for the next day and it was quite a queasy moment when we saw the cooled-down house dressing...not the restaurants fault...we just never thought about what that dressing really was (butter/oil/fat/grease was solid and abundant.) We will just have the honey mustard next time.Club sandwich was good. Reuben sandwich was sadly only partially filled with meat/kraut/sauce (disappointed), broccoli was good but VERY small portion for the price. Croissants with honey butter were good.Overall good. We eat there a lot but feel it is overpriced for what you get. The food tastes good do we continue to go back.

this is one of the best restaurants in all of Charleston. fabulous service and great food.

Sue and I had prime rib and it was cooked perfectly. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful.

St James Place Grille, a hidden treasure, was Great!! Their Croissants were better than I've had at California Dreaming. The Shrimp, Oysters and Flounder combination was everything. Robin gave us great service, she was patient and professional.

Service and food was very good. Price was very reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

We were deciding where to go close to home, hence, St James Place. Wow, were we ever surprised. The energy of our server was sensational. Hannah totally made the meal. Rib eye was wonderful, surf and turf was delicious, the desserts were absolutely YUMMY. We will be coming back real soon.....if your in the area, stop by for a meal. You will be glad you did. We ate here Saturday night, ordered 2 hamburgers and fries. Both came out very quickly and where hot, fresh and cooked just as we had ordered. Service was super fast and the staff very friendly. Price was very good and we will definitely be going back and try some different menu items. If you looking for a good burger try the Blue with bacon.

The chicken strips are absolutely amazing! I'd skip the salad though, not terrible just not great.

Came here for a bloody mary and lunch. Bloody Mary was good and the chicken bacon Wrap was good as well. Nice little cozy place.

Always delicious & excellent service! My favorites are the prime rib bites as an appetizer, seafood casserole for my meal & their salad!

If their was zero stars I would give to this place , the Red Head Bartender girl was SO unprofessional, rude, argumentative, and not aware of what she was doing. This was first time at the restaurant and I got a simple Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was OUT of date , the dressing was over loaded as well... also They charge me for an extra dressing which was a $1.00... NO Other restaurant does this .. She knew I was not happy and continue to ignore that and didn’t ask if I would like anything else . Also the staff was talking about all the guests in the restaurant. Not a good look at all! Be aware of the food ladies and gentlemen!
