Tatiana is not just the most outgoing bartender I’ve ever met, she is enormously talented. She entertained our group of 6 at her bar for over an hour while we waited for our table. Hospitality is her middle name!

While staying at the Lodge, we frequented Between the Trees. Our meals were delicious and made exactly as we ordered, and the staff was very attentive.
Last night, we sat at the bar for a night cap, and our bartender, Tatiana, was so top teir that we stayed for a few extra beverages and small plates. The drinks and atmosphere were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend, and Tatiana is an artist with her mixology!

First time eating here and Oh my goodness. It definitely want be want be the last. The taste of my food blew my mind. Totally wasn't expecting it to taste like that. My 14 year old nephew was blown away as well. We set outside watching the Reedy River conversating and enjoying our food. This place is every bit of a rating over five.

From the greeting at the front desk which was excellent and welcoming, things went far away from that initial feeling...
The server NEVER engaged with us. He offered no insight or directions into the food or drink. He never asked anything about us or what the occasion was. Also, he was extremely soft-spoken and difficult to hear in the loud environment. Combined with the extremely "close quarters" of the two seater tables, we ended up 'sharing' our night with two other couples. This was a landmark dinner night for us and we were ready to enjoy a leisurely stroll. We ordered starters of Mushroom toast and Lobster fritters, both of which were very fresh, hot and tasty. My main was "pan fried" trout which honestly was absolutely visually unappealing. It was cool in the center and the meat was very wet and "mushy" to touch and taste. The accompanying Rye Spaetzle, Braised Red Cabbage, Dill Creme Fraiche were truly buried under the fish and they were underwhelming and wet from the fish. My date's elk was perfect.
What made this a miss was the overall atmosphere.
No atmosphere would be a better statement.
Fine dining in my humble opinion, is a slow, quiet experience, where you are not within 2 feet of the adjacent table. This was a sprint with people walking around constantly with the background noise that resembled going 70 MPH on the interstate with the radio on. No axe to grind here, just had a tough time with the 3 digit bill and what we got.

Amazing service all around! The host Kati, was very accommodating when we messed up our reservation days and was able to get us a great table with very little wait time. The staff will go above and beyond to make your dining experience great. The food and drinks were phenomenal and we will for sure be coming back! Great atmosphere/ vibes!!

An Ode to Thy Fine Repast at Ye Glorious Eatery

Hark, fair denizens of epicurean delight! Last eve, I did venture forth to a most resplendent dining hall, whose name I shall withhold lest the masses rush to besiege its doors and rob me of a future seat at its fine table. Lo, let me recount the feast that graced my palate and the comely visage of the chef, whose hands craft wonders with a deftness that might rival the angels themselves.

First to arrive was the Mushroom Toast, an ambrosial plate that didst present whipped goat cheese as if clouds had been churned and spread upon crisp bread. The mushroom conserva and cioppolini onion aigre-doux danced upon mine tongue like woodland nymphs, while basil did crown the dish with herbaceous splendor. A veritable toast of triumph, I daresay!

Next, the Jumbo Lump Crab Tart, a creation so decadent I feared my heart might burst from joy (or bearnaise). The bone marrow custard, rich as the coffers of a king, wove its way through tender crab and caramelized onions, with spinach offering a gentle reprieve from the opulence. 'Twas a tart fit for nobility—and yet, I alone devoured it like a heathen.

Then came the Scallops, seared to golden perfection, their tender flesh resting upon barley risotto more comforting than a woolen cloak 'pon a wintry night. The parsnip purée sang sweetly, whilst pomegranate jewels and bitter orange oil lent brightness to the dish. It was a harmony of land and sea, and verily, my taste buds did rejoice.

To conclude this most blessed feast, the Sweet Potato Cake arrived, an architectural marvel of spiced mousseline, meringue kisses, and toasted marshmallow, with pecans scattered as if by the hand of autumn herself. I wept silent tears of joy as I consumed this confection, for truly, no words could capture its divine essence.

And yet, dear reader, I must needs confess: it was not the victuals alone that enchanted me, but the chef, whose visage was fairer than the dessert before me. With each dish presented, their roguish grin and twinkling eyes spoke of confidence and culinary prowess. Methinks I fell not only for the food but for the artist behind it. Pray, couldst thou blame me?

In summary, this dining establishment hath captured my heart and stomach alike. I bid thee visit posthaste, but beware—thou may find thyself smitten, as I, with both the food and the chef who wields the ladle with such dashing charm.
