We here in Greenville are so lucky to have such a wonderful treasure that is Cafe and Then Some. My first experience was in 1996, and I have wanted to come back ever since. This small venue accommodates maybe fifty or so people, and there is not a bad seat in the house. You can come for just the show, but you would be missing out on some delicious food and desserts. I ordered Ben's Buttery shrimp, which is seasoned grilled shrimp served with bacon, and shaved parmesan served over risotto, and it was very delightful. For dessert, I ordered the mocha ice box pie. A dreamy oreo crusted mouse pie with a dark chocolate and coffee flavor with dollops of whipped cream and blueberries on the side, and I paired it with a delicious cup of hot coffee to wash it down. (Served during intermission) The show, well, it was quite a riot filled with hilarious satire of current news mixed with local towns and landmarks and audience participation. Think, Hee-Haw, if you are old enough to know of that show. If you are in town during a run of one of their shows, I highly recommend it. I look forward to returning for another show, sooner rather than later.

I love it ! The limited menu changes over the years (which is good) but I go for the entertainment, hilarious and they write their stuff !

Been back several times since this review. The food is very good. The service has been excellent and the shows are often just silly. The characters make you laugh, sometimes with them and sometimes at them. The price per person for the show is $25 added to your bill. A steal, really. The food has been excellent recently, which is unlike a lot of other dinner theaters. Definitely check out one of their shows. There are a lot of local references, so you'll need to know a little about Greenville to truly enjoy all the jokes. Go with friends and have a blast.--------Lots of fun, especially if you go with a group. Shows change every so many months. The two I've seen were very funny. Last year, I thought the food was just okay, but our visit yesterday proved to me they've worked on the menu. Excellent shrimp and grits, tremendous pork chop, perfect scallops. Show usually runs $20 per person. Definitely consider eating there. You'll get much better seats for the show. Hard to call for reservations since they are closed Monday and Tuesday. Must call after 3pm.
Vegetarian options: The beat and three is excellent.
