We ordered street tacos for 12 dollars for 3 tacos. The meat was extremely dry on the chicken and the carne asada. The person taking our order kept hitting the desk even though we barely took a few minutes to order. They charged us 5 dollars for a little thing of salsa and sour cream. The salsa sucked as well.

Had the pleasure of stopping in when it was empty. Good music playing. Good energy. Just cleaned tables. Friendly staff. If y’all didn’t know, it doubles with Daily Bread Deli. I was able to try something new. The Birria Grilled Cheese Sandwich. This thing was fantastic. Ordered it with a pickle spear and cilantro and onions. Could it have used a bit more cilantro, sure but that’s preference. All the flavors is what I was wanting and took me back home to the border. The consume was delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and pick up a cookie as well. The Smores Cookie was pretty great! Will definitely be back to try the other side of the menu!

We used to love Califas, but after today, we will not be returning. The quality of their food has declined. Their empanadas used to be packed with filling; however, the empanadas I received today were filled 25% of the way, and the rest was just dough. I can't justify spending money when portions are decreasing, but prices are staying the same. Very disappointing.

I got a crunch wrap with birria. The birria did not have much flavor. The crunch wrap was so wet inside, it fell apart almost instantly.

I tried the Baja Shrimp Taco and the Baja Fish Taco today, and wow—this place instantly brought me back to California (San Diego style tacos to be exact). Since moving to South Carolina, I’ve really missed the authentic Cali flavors and the variety of Mexican food, but Califas nailed it. Fresh, flavorful, and done right.
It honestly feels like a little piece of home, and I’m so glad I finally found a spot that hits those West Coast vibes. Even better, it’s only a few miles from my new office—so this is about to become my go-to. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Cali-Mex tacos here in Greenville! 🌮🔥
