A really good place to get sushi just saw that they have Korean bbq and hot pot!! Haven’t tried yet but sure it’s delicious, but all of their sushi rolls are AMAZING ??????

This establishment delivered an outstanding culinary experience that was a blend of traditional sushi craftsmanship with modern flair. The menu boasted an impressive variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and creative dishes, all featuring exceptionally fresh ingredients.
A standout addition to the menu was the Wagyu, which is expertly prepared and melts in your mouth. The rich, buttery flavor of the Wagyu pairs perfectly with their sushi offerings which was delicious to try and enjoy the variety!
The restaurant’s ambiance is stylish with impressive artwork and inviting, ideal for both intimate dinners and group celebrations. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the best pairings or explain the menu.
The combination of fresh sushi and exquisite Wagyu elevated our dining experience to new heights! Thanks again to the bartender she was very attentive making our drinks for our large group. We will definitely return to make new memories with family and friends at Chef 21!

Amazing Wedding Party Experience!

We celebrated our wedding party at this venue, and it was absolutely fantastic! The stylish atmosphere created an incredible vibe for our gathering. With a reservation for 26 people, we appreciated the variety of options—some guests enjoyed sushi, while others indulged in Korean BBQ and hot pot.

We loved that we could savor all our favorite dishes and still leave on time for our downtown photo shoot, especially since some guests had long drives home. The highlight was definitely the Wagyu Anniversary Experience; it was the most delicious meat I've ever tasted! The presentation of the Golden Bull when we ordered the Holy Cow was a fun surprise, and sharing the hot pot made for a delightful experience. The Honeymoon Sushi Boat was a perfect addition!

The cocktails were not only beautiful but also delicious, and the non-alcoholic options, like the Sober Tea, were a hit as well.

Despite the size of our group, the service was exceptionally attentive, and we noticed the staff worked as a team to accommodate our needs. We’ll definitely be back for another experience! Thank you for making our celebration so memorable!

Had my birthday dinner here and loved it. The food was delicious and the experience was awesome. Definitely planning on coming back for more delicious sushi and if you’ve never had a sushi burger before give it a try!

Worst experience I’ve had in a while! We had a reservation for a table for a friend’s birthday dinner. Reservation was @ 8pm for 16 people. They called the night prior & changed our reservation for 8:15. When you have reservations for 16 people & majority of those people have children who they have rescheduled babysitters for, even a 15 mins difference can be an issue.
We should have realized when we walked in, how dead it was to be a Saturday night in downtown Greenville.
To begin with, our server went missing for a good part of our time there & another 2 servers stepped in. I don’t think he was experienced enough to have a 16 top table! We had multiple people in our party that are servers & couldn’t believe that management would put such an inexperienced server on a large group
Other than him missing & our drinks taking forever to come out, which honestly we expected because we had such a large group, but seeing how dead they were.. I feel like it shouldn’t have taken as long as it did. We even walked upstairs to get drinks from the bar & even waited 15 mins for the bar tender to even acknowledge us, not because she was serving anyone else, because there was literally no one there at this point, but because she was cleaning up & another time she saw us walk up, she walked to the back & we waited another 15 mins before she came out to take our orders. And let me say, we are great tippers!
Once we received our bills, I realized that that there was over $50 worth of food & drinks added to our bill that we didn’t order! When I mentioned it to the server, he proceeded to argue with me that those were the things that we had ordered. Which wasn’t true. When I insisted that he adjust our bill & take off them item, he finally did. However, realizing that he had messed up multiple other people’s bills in our party, he began fixing each bill. It took him an hour to correct everyone’s bills. Then when he brought our bill back, he had another person’s card attached to it. Thankfully he hadn’t ran our check on their card YET, but almost did!. But also irritated that they automatically charge 20% gratuity, because at this point, he made bank off of our table just with the 20% & I personally don’t feel as though it was worth 20%.
The point in me leaving this review is to let futures customers know that if you want to go out to dinner, but you schedule & pay for a sitter, choose wisely before deciding to eat here. You may end up spending majority of your kid free night getting your bill situated & not actually enjoying your kid free night. Our plan was to have a nice dinner in downtown & then stop & have a drink at a bar downtown, before going home. By the time our bill finally was fixed, we ended up having to go straight home to relieve our babysitter. And also, it was very unprofessional of the server to argue with me when I asked him to adjust our bill & take off the items that didn’t belong to us!

My friends and I had a great time at Chef 21! We had a great experience. Our waitress, who we later learned was the owner, took great care of us. We introduced ourselves to her and another waitress getting to know them more. Such a great environment! Will be back!

We had an amazing dinner at Chef 21 K-BBQ. Not only is the food amazing, but you can get so much food for the value. And the best part was our amazing server Mary O. It wasn’t too busy when we went, as we are early diners but holy cow (pun intended as that was what we ordered) the service was at the level of Halls Chophouse! She was so sweet and informative without being overbearing.
I would highly recommend this place. One of the best filling meals I’ve had in a long time!
Atmosphere 4/5 just because it was a little too dark in there, but everything else was heavenly.

Parking: There are a number of spots out front, and street parking and several lots around of the spots out front were taken.

I couldn’t recommend this place more!! FanTASTIC food. Probably my favorite food place in all of downtown Greenville. It’s on the outskirts, close to yeehaw. The service / staff is so friendly and kind. I only gave them 4 stars for service because they definitely want you to enjoy your time there, so the service is kind of slow. I think it may be intentional though, so that you don’t feel rushed? But the food is made really fresh so it’s worth it. The place is so clean one could lick the floors…haha! Great atmosphere, modern, couches to sit on at your table, good music playing, tvs showing sports and various channels, a bar to sit at if desired, Korean bbq tables or just regular tables if not getting the bbq. I could go on and on haha. The waiter remembered me and my boyfriend when we came back. We had him as a waiter again so in my head I was like “I’ve GOT to leave a review of this place. It’s fantastic in EVERY way!” We got a table on a Friday evening and it was just packed enough but still room for us to get a last minute spot. :) I’ll be returning time and time again!! BIG supporter. I almost didn’t wanna share how good this place is cuz I don’t want it to get TOO crowded hehe. ;) ok enough talking bye now. :P
